Recently, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on a 5-4 vote that it is unconstitutional for state and local governments to completely ban citizens from owning guns. This vote opens the realm, just as Alana Kagan began her confirmation hearings yesterday, that she will say whatever is necessary for a vote of confidence.
Case in point: Justice Sotomayor. During her confirmation hearings, when asked where she stood on the 2nd amendment:

If she is elected the SCOTUS will be the same as it is now, a 5/4 split. She is replacing an liberal, in fact she is replacing the most liberal of the 4 justices who are liberal. We will be no worse off than we are now but we sure won't be any better. Even if the Republicans manage to filibuster this nomination Bozo will simply keep nominating liberals until one gets the nod.

The House is empowered to impeach, so it is to those within the House to decide their own understanding of "good behavior." I firmly believe it will take several high-level impeachments (and removal) to begin to apply the brakes to the activist left in the judiciary.
The thing is she can do no more harm than the person she is replacing does already, that is the point. As long as we don’t lose one of the conservatives we will be ok, 5/4 is better than losing. It’s too bad people voted in the communist Bozo but it happened and now we have to deal and not make more of this frickin’ liberal, communist bitch than it really is.
