Republican Good Ol'Boys: "Hey, let's make Sarah Palin RNC Chairman"
TheCypressTimes.com ^ | 07/05/2010 | Gary P.

You really have to laugh at these Republican establishment types. These “good old boy” characters couldn’t be more pathetic if they tried.

As you know, Michael Steele has once again opened mouth and inserted foot. Full disclosure, I like Michael Steele. I don’t have bad feelings for the guy. But he’s proven that being the Chairman of the RNC isn’t the best use of his talents. This latest flap is way overblown, however. He’s said worse.

Anyhow, this isn’t about bashing Michael Steele. Nope, this is all about exposing the pathetic milquetoast moderates and their silly notions.

With all of the calls for Steele to step down, the establishment seems to think they have an idea: Replace Steele with Sarah Palin. No, I’m serious here. Kevin D. Williams writing for National Review Online came up with this...

Who is this Gary P.? And didn’t we have a thread posted with another tidbit from him that snarked at Sarah? I think someone called him Gary P(undit).

That was me. He needs to give us his surname if he wants to be taken seriously.

Ah it was you. Sorry Onyx for forgetting that.

Yes, he seems to have stirred something up here but I’m not sure where this is coming from or who in heck the guy is to be insinuating it.

Gary P. (Jackson) blogs for Cypress Times and has his own blog. He is an ardent Palin supporter.

Some of his investigative work putting pieces together on the Alaskan connection to the WH is the best I've seen on the web.

BTW, his latest piece is a very good, although VERY long read for those seeking to understand just how the Chicago thug machine is working to destroy Sarah Palin:

Gary P. writes a “PRO-PALIN” blog called “A Time For Choosing” - found here:

http://thespeechatimeforchoosing.wordpress.com/

He’s very pro-Palin, and any snarkiness he writes is directed a Palin detractors.

“So you revert to insults because you disagree with my opinion.”

Insults? You injected your negitivity into a positive post I made to another FReeper about Sarah’s becoming the head of the GOP by being elected POTUS, and expect hearts and flowers in return? If I had wanted to insult you I am capable of doing a much better job. What you saw was merely a disassembly of your ill thought out idea that would marginalize Sarah Palin......yet you claim to be a SP supporter? Uh-huh, yeah, right.

As I said in my post “it’s a good thing Sarah doesn’t listen to either YOU or ME!”

You injected your negitivity

This is a discussion forum. There are no private conversations.

your ill thought out idea that would marginalize Sarah Palin......yet you claim to be a SP supporter? Uh-huh, yeah, right.

This is typical. I have a different OPINION so I must be....THE ENEMY! Again this is a discussion forum where we discuss OPINIONS. Disagreeing with me doesn't give you the right to make baseless accusations. Do you always demand that everyone agree with you?

“Do you always demand that everyone agree with you?”

I expect them to be positive in their outlook, and use their opinion in a consensus building manner.

Posting disparaging remarks... about Palin.... the Republicans.... and other Conservatives, are divisive and serve no purpose except to tear the Conservative agenda apart....which seems to be your entire intent.....

Sign me off sonny......Peddle your negitivity somewhere else!

and use their opinion in a consensus building manner.

So everyone has to agree with your POV or it's not "consensus building". Consensus building is how we got INTO this mess.

Posting disparaging remarks... about Palin

Link to one that I made. Oh. Wait. This one? In post 64?

She’s stronger and smarter than they are as she has principles that they don’t. They will block her any way they can. And I bet SHE knows what the party platform says are Republican beliefs. Nobody in DC does.

Posting disparaging remarks... about the Republicans.

This isn't a Republican forum. It's conservative and the OWNER posts disparaging remarks about Republicans. YOU use Romney (spit) as an insult!

and other Conservatives

I never said anything about conservatives. Where's the post disparaging conservatives?

which seems to be your entire intent....

My intent is truth and reality whether you like it or not.

Sign me off sonny......

That would be Grandma.

Peddle your negitivity somewhere else!

It's spelled "negativity" and I'll post on FR where I please.

“Consensus building is how we got INTO this mess.”

Only when you try to find consensus with Democrats by agreeing with their agenda al-a McCain/Graham. Not the consensus building I was talking about and you know it.

Inter party politics is/should be a contact sport. Gridlock is our friend. (Didn’t Mark Twain say that “the only time the US is safe is when Congress is not in session?” Same idea!) Consensus among those on the same side of the aisle is nearly benign, especially when it helps to further the overall “Conservative” agenda. You can maintain your “principles” while reaching consensous. A principled Conservative Republican, Ronnie Reagan, was adept at it, and was wildly popular among the Republican rank and file because of it....

“.....Got into this mess?”

There are many on this forum that still repeat Dem talking points from 2006-2008, protraying themselves as “holier than thou” conservatives. It would be funny, if it weren’t so shortsighted and sadly pathetic......

“I never said anything about conservatives. Where’s the post disparaging conservatives?”

Many Republicans consider themselves Conservatives. Almost all consider themselves conservatives. I don’t see your point.....to most in the US, Republicans are the face of conservatism...(the reverse of Republican = conservative may not always be true, there are those third party types, a tiny percentage < 1-2% of the total electorate, always try to usurp the title of being the “only” true conservatives...lololol) By extension, disparaging Republicans in general IS disparaging conservatives. You should know that. Sarah Palin, in her own words, “is a Republican. Period!”

“My intent is truth and reality whether you like it or not.”

The reality of it all is that you opened this can of worms with your “negativity” in responding to a simple positive post I made to another Palin supporter/fan, and trying to force your negitive opinion/spin on me/us....It’s all about “your intent” isn’t it? Never mind the consequences of your suggestion of sidelining Sarah in the RNC.....

You’ve yet to learn how to turn lemons into lemonade, and dislike being called on your sour perspective. Tough. Tearing something down is much simplier than building something up......of course, if it’s the easy/fast way you want.....

“It’s spelled “negativity” and I’ll post on FR where I please.”

You’ve just agreed with my observation of your “negativity.” Thanks! A good, although tenative, start for your re-habilitation into becoming a positive, building force ...ie finding common ground for agreement among allies.....

“That would be Grandma.”

Sorry, I meant little girl... Wanna compare grey hairs? Bet I have far more! So what in any case.....I know lets compare wrinkles....that’ll prove something!

“YOU use Romney (spit) as an insult!”

Romney, and his supporters, nearly always campaign from a “”negative” perspective, and is one of the reasons for the FR Romneybot purge in 2008.....(we just witnessed that here in Ca. where Romney clone Meg Whitman conducted her campaign for the Republican primary for Gov. by mud slinging (going negative) on the airwaves 24/7 at her Republican opponet).... it’s a trait you have in common, whether you recognize that in yourself or not. You just (spat) into the wind.

I posted “Say hi to Mitt!” Insult? No, a slightly sarcastic observation of your Romney-like posting (to me) behavior. If you want to avoid the comparison, avoid the behavior.

Only when you try to find consensus with Democrats

Which is EXACTLY what they've been doing. Combing posts looking for something to attack?

There are many on this forum that still repeat Dem talking points from 2006-2008,

I wouldn't know.

Many Republicans consider themselves Conservatives.

Most are Rinos and don't know what a conservative view is. That's why FR is a forum for conservatives.

The reality of it all is that you opened this can of worms with your “negativity” in responding to a simple positive post I made to another Palin supporter/fan

That other poster and I had been talking BEFORE I responded to you. She pinged me to a post because she was catching grief for her view.

You’ve yet to learn how to turn lemons into lemonade

You mean like celebrating that the Repub Good Ole Boys picked McCain to lose to Obama?

You’ve just agreed with my observation of your “negativity.

Hardly. I posted my OPINION which you have continued to slam because I don't agree with you.

Sorry, I meant little girl.

Proving my point again. I have a different opinion than you and you don't like it.

Romney, and his supporters, nearly always campaign from a “”negative”

Again, I wouldn't know. I lived in Ohio when his father ran Mich. Not well liked by my family so I dismissed "Mitt" early on.

No, a slightly sarcastic observation of your Romney-like posting (to me) behavior. If you want to avoid the comparison, avoid the behavior.

Still can't accept that someone disagrees with you.

Now you can have the last word as I won't answer your childish posts again.

Have a good evening.
