There are many reasons why the Cap-and-Trade Act will harm the future of the nation, but among the worst is that it is entirely based on a lie. The very worst, however, is that it is a nation killer.
Cap-and-Trade is intended to set up a trade scheme in “carbon credits” that is estimated to be worth a trillion dollars if enacted. The rationale is the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, primarily carbon dioxide (CO2), to avoid global warming. There is no global warming and no need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions
The vast bulk of CO2 is natural. The Earth produces 97% of the CO2 in the atmosphere. The atmosphere is essentially and overwhelmingly water vapor. CO2 plays no role in climate change.
Cap-and-Trade is a tax on energy use and Americans are constantly told that energy use in any form—-coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear—-is bad. That’s not just a lie, it is insane.
Americans are told that “renewable” or “clean” energy can replace the energy generated by the use of coal, natural gas, and by nuclear plants. Solar and wind energy can never achieve this. They depend on totally unpredictable sources, the sun and wind. All such “green energy” must have existing plants as backup.

There no scientific or economic justification for the passage of Cap-and-Trade legislation. The President knows this. The Democrats in Congress know this. It’s more than just a tax. It is a nation killer.

Actually we can't. Even if the GOP takes back the House in November, the Senate would remain in Democrat hands. In the most unlikely event that the Senate changes hands as well, there will not be a 2/3rds majority to convict and remove Obama from office. Whatever the solution is to the Marxist to the White House, it won't be through the impeachment process.
As intended by its current advocates, “cap-and-trade” in fact has two purposes: the first is to weaken American corporate competitiveness in relation to that of other nations. The second is to redirect wealth
purloined from private enterprise into the pockets of (often already-wealthy) Progressives via corporate, government agencies and non-governmental organizations, some of which were created specifically for that purpose. As such, it is potentially the greatest heist in history, akin to robbing Fort Knox.
The people set up to rake in those trillions have been having their way with our economy for decades. They (Goldman Sachs, et al.) don’t lose. It’s as simple as that.
Cap and Trade is nothing more than a government plan by which one company “trades” (sells) its excess CO2 to another company which then uses it to produce CO2 into the atmosphere. In other words, there is NO LESS CO2 produced. How can anyone fall for this plan?
