I wonder if we’ll ever know the truth about this oil spill. There are only so many reasons why the media and citizens are being shut out and none of them good.

Can you think of a disaster area in which all media and citizens were forbidden to enter? I can’t.

1. Obama’s incompetence. The man’s ignorance and lack of leadership skills have never been more evident than with this crisis. Why allow the media and citizens with their phone cameras to record what is actually happening down there? Why is there a 65-foot safety zone and anyone entering it will be charged with a felony, jail time and a 40K fine??

2. Malicious intent. The idea that our President and gov’t leaders would allow a disaster to continue in order to justify their agenda is nearly incomprehensible, unless you’re dealing with Obama and his minions. This accident is allowing him to stop all offshore drilling and now there is a movement to stop coal mining. Again, the results of this oil spill aren’t anything they would want to have documented.

3. General, overall cover-up due to paranoia. We’ve been given conflicting data as to how much oil is actually pouring out of the sea bed. Then, we’re told there are other vents also pouring out more oil. Is it possible that this disaster is far worse than anything we’ve been told? If not, why the media blackout?? Obama and Rahm paranoid? Naahh! Could never happen.

4. The disaster is far, far worse than we’ve been told and is a total FUBAR. The White House’s main goal is to keep Obama propped up and looking good ABOVE ALL ELSE. An out-of-control disaster would leave a permanent stain on his record, thus the blackout.

With other administrations, I’m sure there were bits and pieces of information that was covered up, but NOTHING LIKE THIS. There are millions of people who live along the Gulf coast and they know about as much as the rest of us. Don’t they have the right to know whether or not it’s safe to even live in their towns and cities?

If there is an honest reason for blacking out the media, other than what the feds want to have reported, I can’t think of one.

"We first heard of an undocumented man named Obama ,
Who initially denied his ties to Kenya, Communists and Osama.
But at every turn, he worked to have our country defeated,
With every enemy, invader and disaster, he schemed to have us deleted,
His death panels, taxes, oil spills, and lack of justice brought our final trauma."

No worries.

He assured us he "won't rest until this problem is fixed".

And we all know what his word is worth.

That video was a devastating statement on what's really happening down there and Mr. Wathen in the CNN video, appropriately, used the word “hopeless” to describe his assessment of the disaster.

Why can't they airlift some of the dolphins, whales, birds to another ocean. Isn't that possible?

I don’t know, but that is a good suggestion. One problem, I guess, would be getting them into an aircraft in open water, from a ship? Also, perhaps very difficult to capture them without injury, but perhaps a better option to death by oil.

Thanks so much for posting this video. This is the ONLY way we will ever know the truth of conditions in the Gulf.

Very sad. I don’t think the rest of the country realizes the tremendous amount of damage being done. Anderson Cooper seems to be the only person on TV who gives extended coverage of it. But regardless of his efforts and those who are on his show begging for help each night, the government continues to block international ships. It’s truly criminal.

This leak will eventually be viewed as 0’s Chernobyl.
The only question is times what factor 10,100,1000?
