But if the experts have no empathy for you, they will declare you terminal and stop your medical treatment. Recall President Obamas opinion of cardiac pacemakers for the elderly: If weve got experts that are advising doctors that the pacemaker will save money... Experts do as they please unless we ordinary people take charge, as our Founders intended us to do.
As a result of this cascade of errors, the murderer of 270 human beings is living out his life in his homeland, surrounded by admirers. Doesnt that make you proud to be a member of the human race?
It is unfortunate that Megrahi is a mass murderer instead of an innocent patient. Then, with an estimated survival of three months, his water and food might have been cut off, and he would have died in a week or two. After all, that is peaceful, even pleasant, the way it was for Terri Schiavo. At least thats what the experts told us.

actually, as a doc I suspect the reason that this guy had “three months to live” is that he was too sick for the Scottish socialized medicine service to approve of his chemotherapy.
After he went home, he got the expensive medicine denied to him, and lived.
And I hate to defend a terrorist, but there are some questions if he was behind the bombing. That is why Libya welcomed him home: Not because he was a terrorist but because people saw him as a victim of western Islamophobia.
Nonsense, yes, but there is a difference.
