The new UK government recently launched public consultation websites asking for ideas on how to cut public spending and reduce bureaucracy.

The results have shocked the media elite and their political outriders in the Labour Party. Ordinary everyday folk, forgetting that their true station in life is to accept without question the musings of the thousand families who form the Guardian/BBC/Academia Axis of Cultural Supremacy, have unleashed a wave of politically incorrect suggestions that strike at the very heart of Received Wisdom.

Darn good site there. Read a couple of the other articles and really enjoyed the perspective. Looks like a lot of Us around the globe are done with it. I know this will sound provencial, and it is, but I look at what is happening in the USA and feel really personally threatened. I truly feel the real probability of total loss of LIBERTY. I forget that all over the globe there are those of us that are working our A$$ of for the slime that now wants it all. And many of you have been down this road long before us. You must be exausted waiting for the rest of us to wake up. Well I think the wait is over. See you on the other side.

No, ordinary people who live on council estates trying to live honest lives by are forced to live cheek by jowl with the scummiest underclass elements and suffer most and more often from their criminality tend to have a more “robust” view of how they should be confronted and punished, not surprisingly...

Actually - cutting the fingers off of thieves would be great - except the politicians would never go for it - they would not have any arms...

I've got a suggestion: Any public official, which means anyone who is paid with tax money, who is caught and convicted of any type of bribery or other felony malfeasance while in office is, along with his immediate family, to be shot, in front of the town hall at high noon. No lesser penalty. Misdemeanors are only life without parole. Greater rewards, greater risks.

You either get more honest public officials, INCLUDING COPS and judges, or smarter thieves, or fewer people who might want the job. Any one of these options is a step forward.

How about: Every year in which federal spending increases, every member of Congress loses a finger.
