North Korea is threatening a nuclear deterrence to joint naval exercises planned by the United States and South Korea. So hows that whole appeasement and bowing thing working out President Obama?
What we are witnessing is the fruition of President Obamas lackadaisical foreign policy. Despite President Obamas barn burning world apology tour the North Koreans remain nonplussed and even, dare I say it, defiant. What we are dealing with is an insane dictator who has tasted blood in the form of a perceived weakness. Had the Obama administration spent more time projecting a forceful presence and less time apologizing North Korea would have to resign itself to idol posturing sans nukes. That, however, is no longer the case.

This is the failure of HELLARY Clinton’s “Smart power”
The rogue states on the periphery are no longer intimidated by Imperial ... err, American power. They see that while we may still posess the trappings of power (aircraft carriers, nuclear weapons etc.), they sense correctly that we are no longer capable of wielding it effectively.
It’s not that we are no longer capable; we are lead by drooling moron pu**ies who project the fact that they are UNWILLING to use such capabilities.
The North Koreans once again threatening the US military is becoming the equivalent of US Economy failing under Obama....
.........a daily occurrence.
No wonder Obama is running off on another vacation.
Reminds me of the short tight lipped comment made in Transformers 2 about “President Obama is hidden safely” or something to that point.
No guts, no glory.
Failed to qualify limp wristed counterfeit coward cannot do anything right.
I was not suggesting that the carriers and the nukes don't work, I was suggesting that as you point out we lack the leadership to deploy them effectively.
And note that voting in a Republican President is not going to help. Was Bush able to execute a war in Iraq? Putting aside the advisability of prosecuting that war, the fact remains that the political opposition at home severely limited his ability to conduct the war. And this is not going to change.
The American public, at least at this point in history, will not support a true war. They will only support a short, cheap war that ends with an immediate, discernible victory. In other words, the rot has gotten so deep that even in the arena of war and survival the public demands immediate gratification. And our craven, worthless leaders are only too happen to promise this to them.
North Korea Threatens to Nuke U.S. Forces.?
Oh, Okay.
Good luck.
"And I'm still soooo ronery....."
This is what happens when a democrat president fires a real General and leaves us this mess poking us in the eye for 60 years.
“It would seem you are agreeing with me.

Bush a joke right mismanaged the “Compassionate Bush great religion hijacked and Iraq War” so badly it went from us being able to leave in a year to still there today. Forget his sticking the head in the sand when Reid and the rest of the insects were trying to attack.
Kill the bastards and come home.
Delightfully accurate and succinct.
A rational war requires "bastards" who are sufficiently threatening and irreedemable that they must be killed. And in a sane world, once such a determination has been made the task of killing them is undertaken in the most efficient manner possible. This is a rational view of war.
I am going to go out on a limb here suggest that the current bipartisan plan to use the military to try and establish liberal western democratic societies in places like Afghanistan is not going to pass the above test for a rational war. We may have identified a group of qualifying "bastards" but the plan for dealing with them is not rational.

I spent 6 years in the Middle East and playing liberal games is not going to work.
The voice of experience. Too bad nobody is listening.
Good enough to be reported in the WASHINGTON POST this morning....on page A7
China’s proxy is asking to be waxxed off the map....
China has too much to lose and may do the waxing.
If any murderous, anti-American dictator is going to hit the US, now is the time to do it while we have an anti-American Kenyan in power. If NK hits US troop and SK with a nuke, Obama will not retaliate in kind.
