WASHINGTON -- Rep. Ted Poe (TX-02) and Rep. Michael McCaul (TX-10) sent a letter to Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Howard Berman, requesting that the committee launch a full investigation into the prisoner-transfer agreement of Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi.

“The House Foreign Affairs Committee owes it to the 189 Americans killed in this terrorist attack to immediately launch a full investigation into this matter,” said Rep. Poe. “The allegations that a company used their influence to secure the release of a mass murderer in exchange for financial gain are an affront to justice and should not go ignored.”

"This is a slap on the face to the victims of Pan Am 103," said Rep. McCaul, Ranking member of the Homeland Security Intelligence Subcommittee. "It would be the equivalent of the United States releasing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11." ...

This whole thing is a little ridiculous...Just another example of Obama's boot to the throat mentality.

Does Obama know that England is an ally and that 50% of BP investors are Americans?? This should have come out before, yes?? The guy was released during the Obama administration.

While we objected, we knew it was not our call....and they said he was gonna die soon...Apparently, he hasn'r died soon enough.

Will the investigation look into the role the Obama admin played...?

Sac, it may have very well been our call depending on some memo that may or may not have been agreed to and then abrogated. The doc dump the Brits did a few months ago was full of redactions that pertained to the admin’s role in this. We need a full investigation.

"Does Obama know that England is an ally"

I was asking myself "Does Obozo know that the UK is a foreign sovereign nation?" And then I thought "Silly Me! He probably thinks that it is one of those 57 States."

Just read in the news that BP is starting to drill for oil off the coast of Lybia...

Probably just a coincidence... /s

Aye Lad. Tis a wee chancy that Scotland would do anything to benefit the Brits.
