I get the sense that there is great division between Gates and Obama behind the scenes. Same for Obama and Petraus and Obama and McCrystal.

None of Romney’s 5 boys went to serve - this is something that does not go well the folks during a war time.

He is giving speeches recently that feels like he is going rogue and distancing himself from Washington. On the other hand who isn’t? Everybody today wants to stay away from the culture there.

Finally a few names are appearing besides the ones from times past that maybe thrown into the mix. Didn’t the Ford Exec’s name appear the other day? Which others maybe out there that are worthy of consideration?

Gates ain’t runnin’ If he were taking on an incumbent Dem, I might vote for him for Congress. That’s about the only good thing I can say about him.

What are you talking about? Mitt’s sons served by campaigning for their dad.

Just ask him:

Gates is a professional bureaucrat and not a politician.

I'm not impressed with Mr. Gates. He's no Donald Rumsfeld.

Of course there’s a division between Gates and Obama. Gates stands for everything Obama is not.

I saw another poster call Gates “milquetoast.” Don’t let the voice or short stature fool you. This guy has a stiff backbone. Those who’ve been close to him know he’s one more than willing to take on problems and fix them.

Could it be that Obama is one of them? Gates knows the inside. He knows where the skeletons lie.

As for speaking at the Boy Scout Jamboree, he’s an Eagle.
