TWO COMMON MISTAKES CONSERVATIVES MAKE WHEN SECOND GUESSING OBAMA ON IRAN
WebToday ^ | 8-1-10 | WebToday

WEBTODAY (August 1, 2010)-- Conservatives often make two mistakes when it comes to second guessing Obama with regard to Iran.

First they assume that since Obama is a liberal, if not outright Communist, he's some sort of peacenik dove and that he'd never make a preemptive strike against another nation. Let me ask you this: Did Communist Russia or Communist China hesitate to preemptively kill millions of people?

Second, they simply say Obama is a Muslim or a Muslim sympathizer, assuming he'd never authorize a preemptive strike on Iran, totally forgetting that there are two major warring Muslim factions. More accurately, Obama's Muslim heritage is rock solid Sunni Muslim, thus the need to bow to the Sunni Saudi king, and not to bow to any of the Mullahs of Iran.

What's more, Obama is unlikely to hesitate in proactively and offensively attacking Iran, if it fits in with his pro-Sunni, anti-Shiite agenda.

So today when news broke out today that the U.S. military has plans to attack Iran, it should come as no surprise since this is the final power shift to let Sunni Moslems first take over the Middle East, and later the world. The only major stumbling block standing in their way is big, bad Iran, the most powerful of the remaining Shiite regions.

Shiite Moslems are in the minority. Sunnis represent the vast majority of Muslims throughout the world, so this final battle to neutralize Iran may be the beginning of the end. Yet, Most Americans will likely view it as a unilateral victory, without noticing that the larger part of the dual purpose battle was to lock in Sunni Islam and their final stranglehold on the world.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Mullen, the highest ranking military officer in the U.S., made this statement about attacking Iran while on Meet the Press today: "I think the military options have been on the table and remain on the table. It's one of the options that the president has. Again, I hope we don't get to that, but it's an important option and it's one that's well understood."

Revolutionary Guard deputy chief Yadollah Javani countered saying, "The Persian Gulf is a strategic region. If the security of this region is endangered, they will suffer losses too and our response will be firm."

Javani was reiterating a not to veiled threat to target Tel Aviv, the second-largest city in Israel, if Israel or the United States were to take military action against Iran.

Sorry, but Obama doesn’t consider Iran the enemy. To Obama, the Tea Party is the enemy. Obama will never attack Iran.

I'm saddened as much as astounded at how many conservatives still know very little about the difference between Shi'a and Sunni, or minimize its import.

When Desert Storm broke, the reporters showed such ignorance of military matters, yet they had all of Desert Storm to prepare. I feel like many in the conservative movement are as bad as the MSM was then.

The really sad thing about this is the fact that Obama would attack Iran for purely political reason and not for the right reasons

If he thought he could turn the midterms by bombing Iran, he would it it in a heartbeat.

The maxim of the hard core Marxist like Obama is "The end justifies the means"

So today when news broke out today that the U.S. military has plans to attack Iran, it should come as no surprise...

Somewhere in the basement of the Pentagon there are "plans" to attack France, and Switzerland, and the island off the coast of North Carolina... it's what they do - make plans for 'contingencies'...

Procurement and planning is what the Pentagon exists for.
They have plans for contingencies that are so unlikely as to be ludicris.

Which means this article is worthless. There is nothing there but supposition/opinion with no basis in factual action to support it.

After all, the Pentagon has had plans for attacking Iran since it was built in WWII. They also have plans for war in antartica and on the moon....

they had all of Desert Storm to prepare

Actually they had since the 1979 Iranian revolution.

That's like not knowing the differences in Christianity between Roman Catholics and Protestants.

He could do that for the mid-terms but I think it more likely he will save it for 2012.

Thank you, thank you for this post! It is very clear and concise. This is exactly my fear and I wish that more people understood the Muslim factions and the in-fighting between them and what it means for the rest of us.

Spot on post!

Probably true. If he loses both houses he will “rule” by executive order after all he thinks and acts like a potentate

I hereby invoke the right to take a page out of
the Democrat political playbook and declare that
Obama cannot order a preemptive strike against
another nation. True, he is the commander in chief
but he has never served in the military so he has
no moral authority to place Americans in harms way.
Reluctantly, Obama receives a pass when it comes
to Iraq and Afghanistan only because he inherited
those conflicts.

Yup. Reminds me of a movie where some peacenicks get ahold of CIA plans to invade some South American dictatorship, out them to stop the war, and public opinion forces the government to invade. The kick? The plans were just contigency plans to begin with, and no war was actually planned!
