Let me ask u: do you really think the gov. should have the right to dictate what our children to after high school? I love my country and my military but I think the military is best left for volunteers who join to serve their country and not b/c theyve been forced to.
Let me reply: That was then and then is now. I was addressing the VN Era and the draft. As for now, I think this is a “reverse draft”, with many social factors that are still forcing youngsters to join the military to survive. (poor economy, to wit)
To answer your question directly, I think the goverment has no right to enforce anything, we the people, don’t support.
Now, here’s the real issue: We, the people, are not being heard. So, you want to volunteer for your country or do I have to force you? Get my drift? ;)
