it is an excerpt, sorry for leaving that out, if you want to read the rest and vote in the poll.
Just to be evenhanded, a mosque is fine. But it doesn’t need to be 13 stories tall, funded with foreign money, or rushed through while the Greek Orthodox church awaits a permit to rebuild.
Too bad a community center open to all faiths could not be built instead, since all faiths lost on that day. Looks like they are building a victory monument. Only in America!
It also needs to be somewhere else.
and while your there don’t forget to check out the hotbikini website swimwear for Muslim women...

“Symbolism of the name: Cordoba Mosque
The scheduled construction of the Cordoba House, more widely known as the Ground Zero Mosque, is meeting some stiff resistance from a growing number of Americans for not only its location but what its name alludes to. In fact, developers even tried to rename the mosque because of what people were learning about it. Cordoba, a city in Spain, was conquered by Muslims in the early 8th century. Upon capturing the city, Muslims began construction on the first Cordoba House. Prior to that, Spain, at the time a Christian nation, was a symbol of western civilization. Once it had fallen to Islam, the first Cordoba House became an Islamic symbol of conquest. Former Muslim terrorist Walid Shoebat, has made it his lifes work to warn westerners about the true intentions of Islam and insists the Islamic mindset has not changed, even after twelve centuries. Shoebat insists that the name chosen for the ground zero mosque is not an accident; it is intentionally provocative for a reason. It is a statement to Muslims that could embolden many of them.”
I’m not naive. It’s obviously provocative, and being helped along by the usual go-along, get-along pantywaist politicians.
Just saying ... accidents happen to the nicest people...
If they own the property and as long as they have to follow the same zoning and building laws as any other development would ... then yes.
However, I don’t have to like it.
Someone across the street from them should buy the property and build a huge wall between the mosque and the ground zero site and maybe with some choice words for Cordoba House.
Also Every time the Muslims, throughout history, have conquered a Christian nation, they built a mosque on the ashes of the conquered. "The Cordoba House" (or Cordoba Mosque) .. why THAT name? Because that is the name of the mosque built in Spain after the Muslims conquered the country. The symbolism is not even tongue in cheek ... it is right in our face! What better symbol for future Muslims than to have a mosque at Ground Zero, literally in the ashes of what the terrorists conquered on 9-11. It is a victory memorial. If the Japanese put a Shinto shrine at Pearl Harbor within 2 blocks of the Arizona, it would be no different. The Japanese have the good sense not to, the Muslims are forcing it for a different reason.
That the liberals want to play Kum BYE Ahhh with the Muslims is a lib's normal reaction ... love an peace. That's exactly what the Muslims are counting on ... and they are not being disappointed. This is a travesty.
Do the idiots who approved this even realize that the Muslims chose the name Cordoba to commemorate the destruction and occupation of Spain beginning at Cordoba in 711 and the start of their conquest of the United States?
You will NEVER meet anyone more stupid than your average liberal. Liberalism REQUIRES that you throw away all common sense and adopt an alternate reality that does not and will never exist.
Should the Government prevent them from building it? Also no.
93% say HELL NO!.....
I’m aware of all this. I said I was being evenhanded. I don’t want it built.
When I think of a mosque, I think of a recruiting station.
