The Taliban is at it again in Afghanistan, killing Christians from America because the Taliban perceived these foreigners to be a threat to their way of life, even though they were only in Afghanistan to render services as medical professionals, doctors and dentists, to poor people in need.
The Muslim extremists did not seem to care about that. Their primary concern was to keep the Americans from sharing their Christian faith. They were afraid these foreigners were trying to lure Muslims away from Islam; however, they were members of International Assistance Mission (IAM), a non-profit Christian organization whose members purposefully do not proselytize. They allow their actions to speak louder than words, much like the Taliban's, except IAM's members reach out with love, not hate. They try to heal and cure, not kill and destroy ...

Wouldn’t the villagers be pretty ticked off about losing the only people who were taking care of them? I don’t see how this helped the Taliban. Perhaps we will see more Taliban/Al Quaeda hiding places get ratted out as a result of this.

Today, August 16, I wanted to know more about the murders - haven't really heard much on the news. How pitiful is it that our media has treated this story with kid gloves! I had to go pretty far back, just to find this thread. Today, a full week later, we have the answer. Sadly, it cam at a muslim celebration dinner at the White House.
Just think how much people would have appreciated it if Obama had chosen that dinner to excoriate the ones who murdered those beautiful people. Instead, he chose to champion a cause (the NYC mosque) that is abhorrent to the average American.
