Don't Oklahoma judges have to stand for retention elections? Is this put forth by the same rocket surgeons who want to repeal the 14th Amendment?

Actually district (trial court) judges are elected. Appellate judges/justices are on a retention ballot.

Duncan is an honorable man/Representative. He is retired military with a Ranger Tab, a Special Forces Tab, and a couple of medals and badges. His bio is at:

I talked with him about this SQ last March. His effort is to prevent an Oklahoma Judge from considering the laws of other countries/cultures. Personally, I believe it is a valid question. Perhaps you don’t have concerns in Idaho, but it is (as was written) a pre-emptive strike at locking down what will be looked at in Oklahoma.

And no, it is not put forth by “the same rocket surgeons who want to repeal the 14th Amendment.” Even if it was it would be valid. So would the repeal effort. By the way, I am not sure I have ever met a “rocket surgeon.” I’ve met rocket scientists and surgeons, but not in the same person.

Thank you for your concern about us poor, uneducated folk in Oklahoma. But we can take care of ourselves.

What good would that do? When muslims become 40% of your electorate and vote 100% for that adoption of sharia law, (57% of votes cast for), and when 50% of you traditional okies (60% of the electorate) vote against sharia law,(43% against sharia law), your state has voted for sharia law.

Are you sure sharia law has provisions for voting for retention of judges, or even for judges at all? Ask your imam.
