Just to Clarify

Yesterday an MSNBC reporter compared those who disagree with the mosque construction location to the 9/11 hijackers. When I read Norah O’Donnell’s comments I said some very unprintable things. Then I read that Speaker Pelosi believes that those protesting the mosque are doing so for political aims and the “funding of those people” should be investigated.

Those people, Madam Speaker, include Harry Reid: the Majority Leader of the Senate and one of your party cohorts. Those people include as many as 70% of the American public. By insinuating that there must be some vast conspiracy going on that would allow Americans to vocalize their opposition to such an emotional issue, you show your own tone-deafness. Americans are blessed with good schools, cheap forms of communication and the 1st Amendment. That 1st Amendment that protects the right of crass individuals to build an inflammatory symbol at the location of a national tragedy also allows Americans to protest that self-same construction. We should be able to do so without threat of investigation and without being compared to mass murders.

We are the people. We are making our voices heard. You can stomp your foot and refuse to listen, but keep in mind what happens to recalcitrant toddlers who employ such actions: they get sent to their rooms for a time-out. We the people may very well send you home.

There’s the liberal/radical/progressive/politically correct world, and then there’s the rest of us. The hard core of the left might be up to 30% of the population. These people think we have to bend over backwards to prove to people like Bin Laden that we are tolerant, accepting, and live up to our highest ideals.

The other 70% of us think this thinking is nonsense. We believe that it’s stupid to bend over backwards for Bin Laden and his boys because they don’t respect us for living up to these high ideals. They don’t share our ideals, thus have no respect for them.

Bin Laden and his boys hated America already, and will hate
America no matter how much we try to prove how tolerant we are of Islam.

And the 30% liberal/radical fringe do not have the common sense to understand some of the points I just made. They think the whole world should be liberal, and they think that our enemies think just like they do, and will respond to gestures in a certain way.

I would love to ask Obama and other liberals — exactly whom to we need to prove to that we are living up to our highest ideals and the “framers” or “founders” vision? (The PC crowd does not say “Founding Fathers” because that’s insulting to women’s lib. Even though they were all men, we’re not allowed to say that and be PC.)

Why are we not allowed to discuss the fact that the Iman of this mosque has said that America and our foreign policy were an accessory to 9/11? Why is he overseas right now raising money for the mosque?

The liberals are outraged that anyone would ask questions because in their simpleton minds, it’s an issue of religious freedom and that’s all there is to it.

The left has cried wolf too many times ... we were racists when we did not want affirmative action , we were homophobes when we did not want gays parading naked down the street and they wanted "victim" status.. now it is that we hate Muslims and are Islamaphobes

The keep wanting people to fear being labeled intolerant

Nancy you may have gone to the well too many times.. call me anything you want.. i do not care anymore and I suspect most Americans are fed up with that manipulation too

I do HATE Islam, and as an American I have that right. I hate islam because it teaches hatred of Jews and Christians , they behead those that do not agree with them, their women and children aare property, I hate it because they will kill for "honor" I hate islam because they lie for allah ...

When I see a Muslim woman I have pity on her and instant dislike for the men .. If I had a magic wand i would send them all back to their 15th century lives in the mid east

Now the funny thing is none of these things were true on 9/10 ... they have grown with fallen towers, highjacked planes, attacks on Israel , beheading journalists ,blowing themselves up just to kill someone else , putting bombs in shoes and underpants to kill innocent travelers, and last but not least shooting Americans serving their country on an army base..

Go home and blow each other up ...I do not want your victory Mosque built ... I just want you to go away
