Why is Dr. Laura quitting her radio show? Dr. Laura has been terrorized by Liberal terrorists, you think I’m exaggerating? I’m not. Liberal terrorism has embedded itself into the American culture and it is as real as Islamic terrorism.
Dr. Laura told Larry King that she is quitting her radio show because, “[Liberal terrorists] try to silence you. They try to wipe out your ability to earn a living and to have your job. They go after affiliates. They send threats to sponsors.” That sounds like terrorism to me! (see 4:09min video)

A similar situation occured down here in Florida.
Barbara West, of WFTV Orlando recently was moved from a prime time Anchor position to noon anchor against her will. She Asked Joe Biden some VERY pointed questions a while ago, and is now being terroized as well.
This is UN-believable.
I would have a lot more respect if she just said she is tired of doing this after 30 years, instead of whining about people trying to silence her then giving them what they want by quitting.
She’s taking herself off the air.

This reason for ‘quitting’ doesn’t hold water with me. Rush has been constantly attacked by LIBs for 20 years and he’s still the most listened to guy on radio and going strong. My mother used to listen to Dr. Laura, but she told me that lately Laura’s behavior and ‘values’ (not sure what she means) have been very ‘off’ and she doesn’t listen to her any more. Any other thoughts?
I’d guess she was looking for some excuse to quit.
Loads of people here on FR jumped all over Dr. Laura. here whole spiel is personal responsibility and people were bashing her here. She did a show on how black people can use the N word everywhere and she cannot. This is what set it off.
Yet somehow Rush, Hannity, Levin, even O’Reilly and others are thriving! Go figure???
Ask Joe the Plumber what happens when you question your leftist masters...they send goobermint employees to look up your private records. (then they get a slap on the wrist)

...I was a talk radio host up until 2003. Had a brush with CAIR, La Raza and many local liberal politicians. What I said, “hurt their feelings” and “shouldn’t be tolerated”. Because of weak-kneed management and the continuing threat of constant moving due to shifts in the radio market I’m in Real Estate now for the sake of my daughters.
Michael Graham got the boot out of DC talk radio because of pressure from CAIR and comments he made. Factual comments as were mine. Saul Alinsky baby.
I can understand why she wouldn’t want to put up the BS intimidation of her sponsors/employer, etc.
I CANT understand why she apologized for using N——R on her radio show. Her point was accurate and her advice to the calling about being a whiney oversensitive baby was spot on.
If you won’t stand up for yourself, nobody is going to stand up for you.
I think that, when you reach a certain age, it is simply not worth the time/energy/resources to continue to fight these kinds of “battles”. I don’t blame her.

I’ve only had the misfortune to hear Dr. Laura’s show twice, while I was on vacation in Alaska, and I thought she was an utter nasty bitch toward people who were truly suffering. Why anyone would call her, I’m not sure, but I say good riddance to bad garbage.

I can't criticize her for it. I don't know if I could take it either.
