Really? That's interesting. I didn't know that. How do you know this. Brittany always seems to post correctly that I have seen. But let's assume you are right. I have also seen a number of threads where the mod moved them to the blogger section and posted an admonishment.
So what does that tell us about the people that own and run this place, exercising real (not imagined) authority?
It tells us they are carefully watching the forum as they always have. It also tells us that other than making sure that links to blogs are put in the right place, there is some latitude. It means that, just because the blog post references and frames a Youtube video, it isn't a sign of the Apocalypse. It means that bloggers with real content, that happen to frame Youtube (You know, like Power Line, LibertyJuice and hundreds of very respectable places), are welcome here. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't just about everything on Youtube pretty much public domain? Does the guy that films a congressman acting badly on the street and posts semi-anonymously really demand attribution and a direct link giving his little personal account credit and publicity? Doesn't he just want his video seen? Is it copyrighted? Does anybody, other than the boys in the tree-house, really give a s$it one way or the other?
The fact that there is a section carved out for bloggers would make all this obvious to most. It means things are perfectly under control. It means that the bloggers posting and linking to their material are enhancing FR (that's why their posts don't get pulled). It means that this silly little crusade is a farce and the people engaged in it are acting like cultists; going after every blog post that frames Youtube, in spite of Dear Leader's assertion that it's only the "fake", "cookie collector" sites that he claims raise is abundant ire.
Or, Eaker, does it mean that the mods are just clueless and need some instruction from you on how to run the place?
