For a high-profile speaker, Sarah Palin got one of the more difficult jobs one can get at a rally: warming up the early morning crowd. That said, when the crowd is thousands of Tea Party-affiliated Americans enthusiastic about restoring their nations honor, its not so difficult to get them fired up. Palin dedicated her speech to the troops, honored several American soldiers, and thanked the greatest Americans, both large and small in legacy, for their contributions.
Before going through a list of US soldiers that were receiving awards today for their exemplary service, Palin took the time to go through some of Americas greatest leaders George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and, of course, Martin Luther King, Jr. She thanked him for providing a dream that would challenge us to honor the sacred charters of hour liberty, and reminded the audience that, in honoring them [the great Americans], we must not forget the ordinary men and women our men and women in uniform, a force for good in this country, and that is nothing to apologize for.
The full speech via C-SPAN below in the linked article here.

i’m a little late today. any idea how many are there? AP via yahoo, is claiming “tens of thousands”. usually they tend to suppress the actual turnout of conservatives, so i’m guessing it’s at least 100-200K.

This is going to be my new, FAVORITE picture!! What an inspiring speech she gave.
The whole event was amazing beyond words...very uplifting. I laughed, teared up, and was so very proud of those that could attend and those that were honored.
Restore America. Just two words says it all.
