As August draws to a close, we are still waiting for the major hurricanes that were forecast for this year. In case you've forgotten, there are links to the forecasts below. Here's the scorecard to date:

After the NOLA storm they threatened that was going to be the norm because of global warming... anyone think of a horrible multiple hurricane year since?
I’m hoping for a hurricane in November...oh, wait, that would be a tsunami...
As much as I enjoy ‘global warming alarmists’ with pie in their face over the failure of more hurricanes because of the myth that is man made climate change, I’m reminded that it’s only September.
In the words of the immortal Yogi Berra:
It ain’t over(summer), until it’s over.
Oh, and we currently have a major hurricane that could hit the East Coast this week. So you also win an award for bad timing.

We're close to the peak of the season. The gold standard for active years is 2005. By this time that year, we had 12 named storms, 5 hurricanes.
