Went to buy a vacuum bottle,

Thermos - made in Chin
Stanley/Aladin - yup, made in China
Nissan - owned by Thermos - and made in China
Avantro - couldf not find the mfg source, odd that.
Esbit (Ya, I was surprised) - Chinese
Sigg - Their Al bottles still made by the Swiss. Vacuum bottles - yup - China.
Zojirushi (totaly cool bread makers as well) These are a toss up - they have factories in Osaka - and in China.

Lab quality vacuum flasks are glass lined, too fragile for daily use.

So, ya, Made In America is rapidly becomeing a myth for too many things.

BTW - if anyone knows of an American made product (vacuum bottle, up to 1 Qt, all SS) please ping me. Thx
