NH Fireams Coalition ^ | 09/07/10 | Staff

The NHFC is pleased to offer this Election Guide for U.S. Senate, Congress, NH Governor, Executive Council, State Senate and Representative races. Only those races (GOP or Democrat) in which there is an active primary are contained in this guide. [Snip]

F Ovide Lamontagne (R) - Manchester

Not only did he support legislation that would have eventually become a statewide gun ban, in the guise of creating so-called safe schools, but he continues to defend the flawed concept that prohibiting possession of firearms in any place will make that place safer. He also refuses to fill out a survey detailing his positions on specific Second Amendment Issues.

My son’s pre-k school is a gun-free school (Glen Lake in Goffstown). I just can’t stand that.

I was even thinking about voting for Ovide in the primary, but not now based on this - unless this is propaganda. But, I doubt it.

Gun-Owners of New Hampshire grades out Ovide, Ayotte and Binnie the same ... grade of B* which basically means they pledge to support the goals of GO-NH.

I know a pledge is what it is ... but I do know that Ayotte stated in the debate that she would of voted to confirm Sotomayor. You can not call yourself pro-life and pro-gun, then turn around and support a pro-abortion, gun-grabbing liberal. And Binnie is pro-choice ...

So I’lll stick with Ovide.

Yep. Makes it all the more confusing.

There are other things I didn’t like about Ayotte. So, I was going with Ovide.

I also see Guinta is rated low, C- here.

I’ll go look at the Gun Owners site to see their documentation.

I hear you, it gets more confusing each day. In the end, it is going to be hard to find a candidate that I agree with 100 of the time.

I don’t believe it. Anyway, Ovid is my choice.
I think if this is true, and I can’t prove it, He will see the light in the end.

TODAY’S ENDORSEMENT:

http://www.goapvf.org/index.php/GOA-PVF-2010-Favorites/ovide-lamontagne-for-congress.htm

“Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund is pleased to endorse Ovide Lamontagne in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary for U.S. Senate.”

“Mr. Lamontagne earned an “A” rating from Gun Owners of America based on his unwavering support of the right to keep and bear arms.”

ALSO, Even more to the point of the NHFC ratings:

From PGNH- Pro Gun New Hampshire

http://www.pgnh.org/grading_the_graders_the_nhfc_2010_primary_election_guide

NHFC is not respected by either GO NH (Gun Owner’s of NH–the state NRA affiliate) or PRO-GUN NH (a respected off- shoot of GO NH), both of which I am a member. I think these links properly put this crap published by the NHFC to bed.
