Narcissism. Blackmail. Distortion. All wrapped in his trademark smirk of pallor. Yes, it’s tired old liberal “comedian” Bill Maher trying to get Senate GOP primary candidate Christine O’Donnell to come on his show by baiting her with a brief video clip in which she mentions having “dabbled” in “witchcraft” and hung around people who practiced it.
The left-wing blogs (and a few short-sighted rightie ones) are having a field day. What they all seem to have missed is the context for the discussion. The AP says the “context of what led to the comment is not clear.”
But it is if you paid close attention to the clip:

Bobby Byrd was recruiting Klan members into his 30s. Some of the clips I’ve seen from Bill Maher with her on were truly disgusting. It WILL backfire. Maher comes off as the condescending, elite, anti-Christian that he is, and while Christine comes off as a bit naïve, she’s honest.
I’m already seeing people linking to blogs trying to compare Tea Party candidates to Hitler, people “believing in their own supremacy.” If it weren’t so depressing this could be funny. Obama is the prime example of believing his own supremacy.

Showed a clip of Christine (paraphrased) “It was high school, who didn’t do crazy stuff like that in high school.”
That paragon of virtue himself said (again paraphrasing) “I didn’t.” Then went on to say something about O’Donnell being involved in satanic worship - and segued into his expose on satan worshipers that he supposedly did “about the same time Christine was doing this.”
Maher has been calling himself a libertarian for a long time. Back when Larry Elder still had his radio show, Elder had Maher on and called him out on it, and compared libertarian doctrine with Maher's own words. Larry Elder destroyed Maher and IIRC Maher hung up on the interview and would not come back on Elder's show.
This DICK ain’t worth his weight in styrofoam. Putting his name in a headline is a waste of ink or bandwidth.
Besides the fact that she went on his show 22 times in the late 1990’s, she accounted herself pretty good in the clip I saw. However, Maher threatened to release one clip at a time until she agreed to come on again so we can expect a new revelation every day or at least every week until the election. Maher did say that unlike Sarah Palin “who is mean,” “Christine is sweet.”
How many votes does Maher command in Delaware?
