Open Letter to Rush Limbaugh/ Obama's Questionable Natural Born Citizenship
9/21/2010 | self

Mr. Limbaugh,

You have FAILED to defend the Constitution in the important matter of Obama's very questionable natural born status! On those rare occasions that you have mentioned the topic ( less than 5 total minutes) you have treated it like a joke. I am mystified that you have done this.

The only consequence, Mr. Limbaugh, for directing attention to Obama's eligibility as a natural born citizen would have been a little ridicule from the mainstream Marxist media. If you fail to defend the Constitution in time of relative peace and security, only a FOOL would expect you to defend the Constitution in the face of real tyranny, tanks in the streets, and cattle cars filled to the brim? Only a fool would expect you to do what is right and brave.

Personally, I will never fully trust you and your opinions again. Some things are deal breakers. That you have failed to cover the important question of having a constitutionally eligible president is a deal breaker for me.

By the way, LTC Lakin is facing court martial for having dared Obama to prove his natural born citizenship. LTC Lakin is brave and honorable man. Hopefully, you, Mr. Limbaugh, you will have one thousandth of the courage of this military officer, and you will do what is right. You will give LTC Lakin the generous time on your program that his legal case deserves.

Mr. Limbaugh, that little itty bitty phrase in the Constitution about having a natural born citizen for a president is **not** a JOKE!

Respectfully,

Wintertime

Rush is first and foremost an entertainer ... according to his media-speak, which we get occasionally from him on air. Because of his ego, Rush would tell you that he cannot go too far else the lamestream media could then marginalize him and his effectiveness would be lost. Of course, tha’s not a characteristic of leadership, so to hear the media claim Rush is the leader of the conservative movement is yet again farcical.

IMHO, Rush is avoiding the question of what "natural born citizen" means because it hasn't been definitively defined yet. And because of the absolute liberal society we live in today, we have lost the ability to define common-sense meanings to words. This means if this question ever goes to the Supreme Court, we would likely lose because no one wants to overturn the apple cart and be mean to a black man because that would not be PC.

Totally avoiding the question is a political move by Rush.

If you were in grade school, you would be a key candidate for the swirly club.

I do not believe Mr. Limbaugh is in anyway threatened by a self-important opinion such as expressed here.

You should focus your attention on the Obamah Justice Department and its Obstructin of Justice in the New Black Panther Case.

Judical Watch just obtained some incriminating evidence and Justice is witholding more documents/evidence.

If the issue of Obama’s BC ever gets traction, which I doubt, Rush would jump on the bandwagon.

Rush, like most sane people, knows the question is meaningless. Obama will NEVER admit it, and what other proof do you have? Not much. The places that you may dig up proof is not talking.

Ok, so now you have a small amount of proof and take it to the SCOTUS. It is going to have to be OVERWHELMING proof from them to decide.

Now, the congress must toss the guy out.

We are talking years in a process that is meaningless and therefore lacks the need for ANY attention.

Limbaugh wisely avoids all conspiracy related topics. He also tends to avoid social issues. His 2 biggies - international topics and domestic economy.

I have long been disappointed that none of the “conservative” stars - Rush, O’Reilly, Hannity, Levin - nor the Republicans have run with the natural-born issue. The bottom line is that if 0 is unqualified to be POTUS then the disaster that he has created in our country has been totally unnecessary and avoidable. Simply calling it a minor detail is cowardly.

Rush Limbaugh is not an elected official;

Rush Limbaugh was not in the military.

So when and for what reason has he taken an oath to defend and protect the Constitution?

Now - let's just go way out on a limb and suppose, maybe, that obama does have a valid birth certificate and for some unknown reason chooses not to show it...just supposin'.

Rush has a pretty good reputation in his accuracy and truthfullness, and a lot of years behind the mic...why should he risk all of that when - like the rest of us - he knows that as long as obama is in power, he will be protected by the czars, holder and other powerful officials. I don't think they would do anything if a genuine Kenyan birth certificate turned up tomorrow.

Not until after November 2nd, anyway.

Bear in mind that being a radio announcer does in no way give one control over any branch of the government; it's opinion and commentary.

Rush speaks for a lot of people who don't have their own Golden EIB microphone, and he can sway opinions and shine the spotlight of truth on the bad guys...but it's ultimately up to us...THE PEOPLE...to make the differences he talks about...at the ballot box.

Having said that, what have YOU done to defend and protect the Constitution today? Besides bitch about Limbaugh, that is? You have just as much clout and power as Rush when it comes to doing something about the BC situation...so, have at it, and please report back to us when you accomplish something.

IMO, Limbaugh and other talk radio hosts avoid this topic, not because they don’t consider it valid, but because it’s a complex issue to explain in the radio format. Most people assume that it’s sufficient to be native born in order to be president. To explain why this isn’t so, you need to go into Supreme Court decisions, common law and other historical background, which can be hard to explain and hard to follow without being able to read source materials.

Because Rush doesn’t pick up a cause as hard as you do, it’s a deal breaker. We all have different issues that mean more to us than other issues. If we all hammer on one person because they aren’t picking up the issue we feel most important about, how can we expect them to have the same vigorous attitude about all of our hot-button on hundreds of issues when we can’t?

Sorry, that logic - if Rush doesn’t feel as strongly about an issue as I do and do something about it, then I don’t trust him anymore - I am sorry, the point of Rush is not to take up everyone’s pet causes.

If anything you’d know Rush would say to people, “Look ,you feel strongly about ‘x’, get up off YOUR butt and do something about it! I can’t do it all! I may support you, I may report on it if I think it’s interesting, but don’t expect me to carry yours and everyone else’s water on a bunch of different issues. You can’t put that all on one guy behind a microphone.”

The armchair quarterbacks always think they would have called the right play.

The fact that no star “quarterback” is willing to attempt to complete this particular “pass” should say more about the feasibility of the “play” than the “cowardly” nature of the quarterbacks.

I think when and if this matter is determined definitively it will be found that there are two types of U.S. citizenship to go with the two ways of becoming a U.S. citizen. If you are a citizen via the natural act of being born, you are a natural born citizen. A natural born citizen would be defined as one who was born a citizen. If you are a citizen via naturalization, you are a naturalized citizen. That was my opinion of the law long before 0bambam made the scene, and I have seen no reason to change it due to the temper of the times or any legal reasoning put forward.

Rush, like most sane people, knows the question is meaningless. Obama will NEVER admit it, and what other proof do you have? Not much. The places that you may dig up proof is not talking.

You also have the basic problem that destroys just about every government-related conspiracy theory: how does one keep such a huge secret in an open society?

Obama has plenty of enemies on both sides of the aisle who would love to discredit him. So first thing he had to do was neutralize the most ambitious couple on earth, the Clintons, and everyone who supported them. If you think about how the Clintons reacted to adversity (by digging up and releasing dirt on anyone who opposed them) it's amazing that Obama could derail Hillary's Presidential ambitions if he had that kind of a lie hanging over him.

Once he got past the Clintons he has to be able to control everyone else who oppose him, from Republicans to Independents to other Democrats, unless you are willing to believe he has 100% support from his own party. And not just high level leaders, he has to control everyone who works or ever did work at the Hawaii Department of Records, any school he ever went to and any other place around the world that would have some sort of traceability to his past. Even his inner circle can't be considered 100% reliable. The Nixon administration wasn't brought down by Congressional hearings or CBS news, it was brought down by a guy who was angry about being passed over for a job promotion.

Once he has all of these things under his control he has to keep them under control year after year through good news and bad, changing election results, hostile opponents, the media, young guns looking to make a rep for themselves. It's basically impossible to hold up as long as he has.

Rush realizes this so he keeps his distance and I don't blame him a bit.
