President Barack Obama once told Democratic lawmakers they'd be proud to campaign on historic health care legislation. Six months later, the only Democrats running ads about it are the ones who voted "no."

Now, with crucial midterm elections approaching, the White House is preparing to use the law's six-month anniversary to reintroduce it to skeptical voters and trumpet new reforms that are taking effect, such as new coverage for preventive care and young adults and a ban on canceling insurance for someone who falls ill. Democrats are packaging the provisions, which kick in Thursday, as a "Patient's Bill of Rights,"

This is actually good news, IMO. Get out there and campaign on the most unpopular bill in decades.

One thing that will bring a greater revulsion from the public than the passing of 0 healthscam bill is the reaction from the public when two major products of the bill begin:

1. Insurance companies' rates hit the level they will need to be for the insurers to sustain themselves when forced to cover high-risk patients who simply waited until they needed insurance before buying it (insurers cannot refuse coverage). 2. April 15, 2011.

Will he mention the 3 1/2% real estate tax designed to help pay for all that free health care?

Will he mention an unelected panel that will be deciding whether or not you will get the medication needed to extend your life?

Any mention that it will be illegal for doctors to engage in fee for service, outside his ‘free’ health care?

Remember the scene in A Christmas Story where Ralphie is beating on Scut Farkus, cussing up a storm, and Flick is desperately trying to warn him that his mother is there and listening? Obamimam is Ralphie, and the Democrats are Flick. “Barry, the voters!”

That was my reaction, too, after reading this article. I don't know what he thinks has changed in the last six months that will make the American people more receptive to ObamaCare, but I think the more they're reminded of it the better.

Besides, this idiot is so gaffe-prone he's likely to find a way to make it even less popular.
