President Obama wants to tax-hike Chris Matthews and other rich folks in America. The MSNBC host is probably not one of those liberals who support the tax-hike while hoping that the Republicans will kill it. Matthews probably just cant wait to start paying more to the IRS.
However the host of Hardball is not happy that President Obama keeps talking about these tax-hikes in a manner that suggests that he will be sending checks to Matthews, when in fact Matthews will be sending checks to Obama:
Stop saying that giving people tax cuts is giving people money. It`s their money! A tax cut is when the government doesn`t take our money. It`s an important distinction.
Yes, indeed! It`s an important distinction. Unfortunately Chris Matthews wasnt so picky in terminology when President Obama called the expanding of the Earned Income Tax Credit a tax-cut.
Many folks in the USA receive a check from the government with EIC refund when in fact they did not pay any federal income tax. Obama calls those tax-cuts for the working families, when in fact it is a kind of welfare or stimulus at best.
Matthews did not outline the important distinction in this case. He just let President Obama call the government hand-outs: tax-cuts.
So the folks who received the hundreds and the thousands of dollars of EIC tax-cuts now think that this is what the rich will be getting a check from the IRS like they did.

” We are not the only ones who know Barry is imploding...the media know and they have to report reality at some point.”
Not sure about that. Madcow and Olberdork are still obsessed with C-street and Koch Brothers conspiracies. HOPELESS
There is a change since Boehner bluffed he may agree with the tax-hikes for the rich. Suddenly the rich democrats realized that if the republicans don’t watch for them Obama will tax-hike them.
He did make one revealing statement (that I think was genuine) about the DE primary results. That he had been waiting all his life for someone to come along and tear down the establishment, he just didn’t know it would come from the middle and right.
Maybe, just maybe, the DE primary (and the GOP establishment’s reaction to it) opened his eyes about the tea party movement. He definitly described it as being made up of people “from the middle and right.” A big change from his previous descriptions of the tea party.
Maybe he hates the establishment more than conservatives, and figures the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Damn capitalist! ;-) Whichever Mark was guest-hosting for the last hour of Rush’s show today played this and I about had a heart attack. What next, Bawneee Fwank (Frank: piece of meat between two buns) advocating traditional marriage?
(S)he is? What about all that tingling for The Won?
Maybe chrissy figured out how badly she is going to get hammered in taxes next year. Poor babe, she should have listened to us. Her bad.
I didn't want to go that far, although I do wonder. I think rather that this is an outshoot of championing an underdog against the "establishment", which may also be close to what you have said.
I hope his eyes are open. Our movement is full of reformed lefties. Who knows?
