Bush used those idiot boards too and made himself look like a goof as well. The presidency of idiot board countries have become puppets who just recite what their writers programmed into the machine, it is embarrassing and shameful to watch presidents of countries reading from them. I don’t actually watch these kinds of speeches anymore because I know they are all so preplanned, fake and impersonal crafted in propaganda and legalese by the writers.
I remember my father telling me that John Barrymore, aka The Great Barrymore, invented the ‘Idiot Board’.
Mondale is right. That’s exactly what the teleprompter is, for the one giving the speech (the idiot) who can’t remember his lines.
