Should they allow everyone that can make it on the ballot into the debates?
RINO’s should not get our votes people.
Yes, Kirk is a liberal. Not quite as bad as Castle, but pretty bad.
But we conservatives couldn’t beat him in the primary. And Gianopolis would be a disaster for our country, and for Illinois.
I would urge people in Illinois not to shoot themselves in the foot by electing Gianapolis by default, by thinking they can throw their vote away on a 3rd-party candidate who has no chance of winning a general election victory.
I am disgusted that the GOP thought a liberal who was one of only eight GOP congressmen to vote for cap and trade was the right candidate for the Illinois seat, but unfortunately he is the GOP candidate. If the GOP primary voters couldn’t find and support and nominate a better candidate than Kirk when it mattered (in the primary) then it is simply foolish to try to gin up support for an independent who is polling at 5%.
Kirk - as liberal as he is - would still be better than Alexi. He would give the GOP one more seat even if his vote is not a reliable vote. And even if he voted with the GOP and against the Obama agenda just 10% of the time that would still be better than the democrat Alexi who will vote WITH Obama 100% of the time.
We know. We know all about the man.
My read on Mark Kirk is that he is spineless.
A few new tough conservative Senators should be able to keep the weakling in line.
Elect the most conservative that can win.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind having two of the ten new Republicans in the Senate be RINOs.
There WAS no legit primary, Charles. Read on:

Look I am sorry but the problem with the GOP has been it’s supporters willingness to vote for liberals. I’d just as soon the liberals be in the other party where they belong rather than in the GOP workinging against the interests of America from the inside.
I’d rather have a liberal democrat in congress than a liberal republican.
Kirk will not vote for Chuck Schumer for Majority Leader.
Nuff said.
I would, especially if we have a 51-49 “majority.”
Sure he will.
Speak out against masturbation and then say he dabbled in witchcraft.
Yep.
Too much principle over practicality around here.
Folks, this is war. You take the best you can get, which may mean a flawed candidate who is only with you part of the time.
Half-full beats empty.
Then, second week in November, you start working to get the dream candidate elected next time.
One step at a time, achievable goals, long-term determination. We must take this country back.
What does Illinois Tea Party candidate Michael Labno have to do to get some attention around here?
How about stop spliting the conservative vote and guranteeing a Democrat victory. That might be a start.
Most tea partiers have shown a lot of common sense this year. They got involved in the GOP primaries early, ousted the incumbent RINO, and replaced them with a conservative.
Anyone (everyone, no matter who they are) that forms a third party and calls it “The Tea Party” should be shunned, condemned, and cursed out to their face by tea partiers. 3rd parties just get Democrats elected, and are only formed by either Democrats (tring to split the conservative vote or conservative with no common sense.
“... and with Labno only pulling five percent, if I can convince enough people to switch from the flawed Kirk, the even more flawed Democrat can win.”
I have no love for Kirk. He is a RINO at best. However, in a race this tight, I must look at any article this close to the election that pushes a third party candidate as probably having it’s roots with the DNC. No matter how good Labno is, he didn’t get the support of the people in Illinois in the primary and can only be a negative in this election.
One bite at a time. We have bigger fish to fry. Christine O’Donnell is an example of someone who did get the support of the people, is the candidate on the ballot and needs help.
