Ive written about this before but with the release of the WIKILEAKS documents, even Wired magazine acknowledges that US troops found chemical and biological weapons in Iraq. But dont worry; if you liberals keep telling yourself Bush Lied youll get through this.
By late 2003, even the Bush White Houses staunchest defenders were starting to give up on the idea that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
But for years afterward, WikiLeaks newly-released Iraq war documents reveal, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins, and uncover weapons of mass destruction
In August 2004, for instance, American forces surreptitiously purchased what they believed to be containers of liquid sulfur mustard, a toxic blister agent used as a chemical weapon since World War I. The troops tested the liquid, and reported two positive results for blister. The chemical was then triple-sealed and transported to a secure site outside their base.

God bless Pres. George W. Bush!

BDSers can click this for a little consolation.
Amen bro. Miss the guy already.
These are just the ones that didn’t make it to Syria.
bookmark.
And the leading Democrats, who knew about this, should be flogged!
Ping.
btt
jveritas?
Even if Bush released the information, the mad lib press organs would scream that it was fabricated. Remember, the Bush Derangement Syndrome approached the level of severe psychosis, violent as well (as witnessed here in the Twin Cities).
I would guess that President George Walker Bush kept silent on the matter for national security, not political reasons; President Bush perhaps believed that publication of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of weapons of mass destruction might enable the enemy to find (and use) other caches of them against our troops, our allies [including Israel], the Iraqi people, or other innocent persons.
.. Ping!
Bingo you win
If, however, we revealed knowledge of said weapons, they would go underground quicker than a bootleg John Edwards sex tape..
Now that we have all seen with our own eyes how pissy Pudge Rove can be when he throws one of his estrogen-induced hissy-fits, it is entirely possible that he cowled the Bush staff into going along with just being “real quiet about this so we don’t offend all of our friends in the press, on the Georgetown cocktail circuit, and on the other side of the aisle.”
Did you click that picture above I posted for ya ?
What a shame that you weren’t POTUS in 2001 ..darn.
BTTT !!
His reputation will continue to rise and the lies continue to be exposed.
Thanks for the ping, STARWISE!
As we have always known, they had two months to hide the chemical weapons and we continue to find them.
Then why on earth didn’t the Bush administration report what was being found in Iraq? It makes now sense that, after presenting pre-war evidence of WMDs as a major justification for the invasion of Iraq that they’d not report what was found?
This is really bizarre. There was no conceivable reason to keep any of these finds secret.
There was no conceivable reason to keep any of these finds secret.

Of course, YOU were right there in the WH, saw the
daily intel briefings, spoke to the generals on the
ground mostly daily ..sometimes several times, day
and night, weighed this issue against the multitude of
other demonic terrorist plots at hand, etc. etc. etc.;
i.e.,
REAL TIME INTEL, PERSPECTIVE AND CIC PRIORITIES !
Click the pic I posted for ya above in the article.
Hogwash. Weapons that had been found could have been displayed for proof of their existence without any explanation as to how they were found.
Exactly
Bump
Thanks for the ping STARWISE
My pleasure .. ;)
But Obama really did lie when he said there were “hundreds of shovel-ready pojects (SRPs).”
And on his word we spent trillions.
Bush didn’t lie. Obama lied:lie after lie after lie after lie.
There is a whole lot more to that story than I can say publicly.
Suffice to say, the Left will do and say anything to make Bush into a liar. If fits their overall narrative from 2000.
Not true whatsoever. What set the stage for Obama, as you put it, was so-called real conservatives abandoning President Bush and the Republicans in droves beginning shortly after the 2004 election. At that time, the conservative media, in an attempt to show that they were independent of Republicans, flogged multiple anti-Bush and anti-Republican issues. "RINO" hunts, Harriet Miers, illegal immigration, backlashes against a few Republican scandalettes, etc., led to Dem takeover of Congress in 2006. In particular, the "RINO" hunts severely hurt any chance for a strong Republican to win the 2008 nomination, opening the door for the has-been and never-was McCain. The rest, as they say, is history.
As for getting the truth out there about Iraq, President Bush is only one man. After Katrina, he was an exhausted, burned out man. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear could recognize it in him.
Where was his party? Where were Republicans and conservatives in and out of government and media? Where were grass roots Republicans and conservatives? Where was support, assistance, and understanding from them? Where was the Right's pushback agains the Left's lies? Why did they take their eyes off the most important "ball" of our times? How come they weren't out there helping to counter the Left's lies? Hmmmm?
Lastly, all of the documents Wikileaks got from that traitor who stole them are classified to protect sources, operational information, and so on. The truth is our soldiers did NOT find large stockpiles of WMD. Traces and small quantities here and there, yes, but no the large stockpiles. Anyone who knows recent history didn't need President Bush to tell them Saddam Hussein not only had, but used WMD. Similarly anyone who knows recent history doesn't need President Bush to tell them about the UN's, France's and Russia's duplicity in the Hussein WMD saga.
The truth has always been available. What we've just learned from Wikileaks is details, not genuinely new information. Why do we -- any of us -- not howl down the deliberate disinformation campaign of the so-called 9/11 truthers? Hmmm? Every human being on the planet who had access to a television that day, and who was old enough to understand what they were seeing, saw those planes fly into those towers with their own two beady eyes. So where is the raging backlash against the obvious lies of the "truther" movement? We muster rage against the firing of Juan Williams, but none against the worst disinformation campaign of modern times. You going to blame President Bush for that also? Hmmmm?
Thank you, for adding that 2nd hand report,
confirming what those of us back then knew
and know now is the core character of the man.
Bingo! And it left people like us to have to defend him. It's quite telling about the damage done when Michael Moore get's to make a garbage movie unchallenged, and people just suck it up. I fought and fought people over the Left wing Iraq war criticism. By 2008, there was no talking ANYONE from voting for Obama who was dead set on voting "against Bush".
It is true. Very true. What you said after the above sentence is also very true as well.

That arrogant pos still keeps lying, but then he’s a liberal
~~~~
which was thanks big time, also, to an orchestrated media blitz at every turn in the pockets of the Rat Congress, as they still are .. mocking, demeaning, discounting, lying and distorting everything Bush.
And, that's why they're a dying breed with bartered, all time low credibility and less net worth, and why there's Free Republic that MUST be supported!
Exactly. He told us the truth and the truth will always win, every time it’s tried!
Awesome first poster and the second well . . . it speaks for itself. Thank you so much for posting. Will be attending an event soon that Bush will be speaking at at Reagan Library and I can’t wait!!!!
Yes, ma’am !
Aaaah ... lucky you !!
Give him love from FR !!
I like the link but it didn't work on me. I just used to be a BSer. Bush skeptic - ur - person. That was during the primary and early months in office. I didn't like him. Didn't like the process in the primary, and felt like I was holding my nose voting for him.
I knew his idea of conservative and mine were far from unity. Then 911 happened. His response was everything anyone would have expected from a president. He inspired us all and led the world.
How and why things got so out of hand is hard to say, the leftist media, just plain old opposition party, or a powerful foreign object turning far too many people away from the USA and it's leader. Whatever the cause, it hurt us and continues to.
The chapter that probably isn't in GWB's book is how that bank bailout worked out in the end. The economy is everything to our way of life. Think hard and find better advisers than Bush had at his disposal. A great man no doubt. But also one of the best presidents ever to be so poorly served by his staff. While the leftist media was having a heyday and insiders were leaking dangerous stuff why couldn't someone leak some of this confirming data?
W
Aw come on, it’s three links in one! Sort of cool isn’t it?
;)
They are already spinning this.
