George Bush finally admitted failure, but not about what many would think. Former President Bush believes his biggest failure was on Social Security reform. Bush wanted to implement a semi-private . . .

>>Harvard is where the ruling class learned to destroy the housing market and get rich at the same time. <<

But they don’t graduate people who are “not very bright”.

THAT was the point.

Not really. No one ever said that Carter wasn’t bright. He was an ultra-liberal . . but he was smart enough.

We need someone who is smart this time around. Like Rubio or Pawlenty, even Chris Christie. Haley Barbour is also very smart, but don’t know if he is too old to capture the nomination.

Bush is a nice guy . . not very bright . .

I never got the impression that he wasn't bright, despite the leftist media's attempt to portray him that way at every turn.

I don't agree with everyhing Bush did (I can't imagine agreeing with ANY politican 100% of the time, though), but I'm sure glad he was at the helm when those terrorists flew planes into our buildings.

But they don’t graduate people who are “not very bright”.

Some people say the same about Yale. There is nothing to prevent schools from making an exception to the general standard.

Harvard: I suppose America does need its own Hogwarts.

Two young men who had just graduated from Harvard were all excited and talking effusively as they got into a taxi in downtown Boston.

After hearing them for a couple of minutes the cab driver asked, “You men Harvard graduates?”

“Yes Sir! Class of ‘09!” they answered proudly.

The cab driver extended his hand back to shake their hand, saying, “Class of ‘89!”

How about the notion of installing Jeffersonian Democracies in hell holes like Afghanistan and Iraq?

Or his stupidity in disbanding the Iraqi military so that it could join the insurgency against America.

GWB always had a goofy smile that got on my nerves. And he was forever “cutting deals” with the Democrats that undercut the Republican brand.

Who are you trying to kid. If no one ever said that Carter wasn’t bright, than there’s a lot of stupid people in this country. Carter was one of the dumbest presidents we ever had. If you’ve never heard it than let me be the first to say it, Carter wasn’t bright.

You get on my nerves and I haven’t even seen you smile.

I think you’re just mad because he didn’t cut enough deals with the Rats.

Bush had enough failures for sure.

IMO two of his biggest ones that hurt him the most is when he didn't use his office to promote his agenda regarding the war. The other problem is he never defended or went on the offensive much in defending himself, the war or anything he did. He was a walking pinata.

I was not a fan of his illegal immigration policy or prescription meds for seniors.
He wanted to reward law breakers who often were performing document fraud, then we NEVER needed to grow entitlements.

He was right on the war and right on the Bush tax cuts.

I think history will show the Bush Administration was more successful at setting up the democrats for the midterm tsunami of 2010. I find it funny that Henry Paulson jumped in front of the camera as if he were president and announced frantically the economy is collapsing. The funny part was that 99% of the population was unaware of the financial problems and responded appropriately. The problem could have been controlled gradually as long as the population remained calm. The fact the administration chose to break the news though a urgent news address, as they did, make me feel the only motives could have been a few. It really seems they decided to take down several birds with one stone. Keep John McCain from becoming president, expose the housing finance problems just before handing over power (expose it now, and let them get the blame later), and spend so much money on the way out that it would make Americans mad when the Dems started their spending spree. I have felt this way from the moment Henry Paulson’s face hit the camera in 08. The coming midterm result are exactly what I expected . This is not a pro-republican turnout. It is a p.o’d electorate who wanted change, not fundamental restructuring or American Government and Public Policy. It is a people who saw massive spending and negligence at the end of 08 and only wanted that to change, and that change was not received. This Midterm election is about “change”.

I to this day do not understand TARP... best I can analyze it is the day when the Republican 'big tent' machine became little more than a TARP. I also remember the Clintons first two years brought forth the 1994 GOP election of control of the House after 40 years of wandering in the proverbial wilderness...

HOWEVER, the 1994 election of Republican control of the peoples house, led to with the willing aide by a liberal mouthpiece media to a second Clinton term... I highly suspect the same plan is in the works for team BamBamKennedy... paint a 2010 Republican House as 'Taliban' and without compassion... my biggest itch against George Bush, his so called 'compassionate' conservative... Governments do not legislate 'charity'.

Not even remotely close, George.
