I appreciate how cynical this sounds but my first reaction to this is that we provided fake bombs to yet another terrorist then decided to score political points by making a news story by “catching” the bombs on the airplanes.
Now, especially since zer0 “heard” about it at 10:15PM the night before, plus all the news outlets had pictures of the “bombs” ready for his speech, and especially now that the reports are much more confused than they should be, I’m just wondering what kind of out of control cluster-puff is going on. It has also been reported that there were no power supplies on the bombs. Isn’t this something that zer0 should have known when he called them “viable?”
The whole thing stinks of incompetent and corrupt global politics.
well, we may never know. then again, we may. all I know is I’m cynical enough to be skeptical of anything that makes obama look “competent.” ABC Radio moron Mark Simone remarked that “everyone appears to have done good work on this!” — coupled with the reports of middle-of-the-night meetings with the president — that’s when the spin started making me nauseous.
