And then talks to Bill O'Reilly about it.
Bump.
this was a great teachable moment!
Is there somewhere to watch all of John’s show on PC?
My affirmative-action cupcake "event" led to some interesting discussions. One young woman began by criticizing me, "It's absolutely wrong."
But after I raised the parallel with college admissions, she said: "No race of people is worth more than another. Or less."
But do you believe in affirmative action in colleges? I asked.
"I used to," she replied. Those are the kind discussions students should have.

Good for her. It's never too late to learn!
Excellent illustration! Same exact example should be used in HS and college. It’s too easy to teach how wrong affirmative action is. There isn’t a college professor in the country who could successfully argue against this illustration.

And he made a FOOL of O’Reilly, who goes meekly along, then lies about it, then gets called on it :D
Affirmation action is obviously, absolutely, completely racist or worse UNFAIR...
I never miss an opportunity to have a conversation with a calm liberal. Mostly they’re family members but face to face they have real trouble explaining why I should pay for things they want but I will never have use of.
They can point to highways they seldom use and I can point to their groceries which made much of the trip on highways and I can point to the “user fees” I pay at the gas station.
I keep an open invitation to my liberal family members to come see me sometime and take the opportunity to show me why socialism is good for me.

Check out the comment section - those guys really don’t get it...
Making O-Really look like a fool is a little bit like fishing with dynamite at a Pet Store.
the few times i’ve been involved with discussions about reparations for blacks in this nation i always say, “i agree- and reparations must also be handed out to the victims of affirmative action”...that usually stops them dead in their tracks...
I don’t think that show has aired yet. I believe you can see it on Fox Business News.
There’s a Blazing Saddles punchline here somewhere.
Thanks!!!
That is true, but is still fun to watch when it happens, especially when O’Reilly knows he got exposed, and all he can do is grin and say, “Alright, Stossel.”
Bill isn't. Hasn't been for a long time.
Stossel has an agenda as well... He's honest about it and folks like me appreciate that. The fact I agree with him is almost irrelevant at that point. ;-)
It was aired last night.
