George W. Bush says Harry Reid badly irritated him due to his anti-war statement

George W. Bush says Harry Reid badly irritated him due to his anti-war statement about Iraq. Appearing on Fox and Friends yesterday as part of his publicity stop for "Decision Points," Bush was asked about a notorious quote of anti-war defeatism that Reid had blurted out just when the former president was about to authorize the Surge strategy in Iraq. Looking at Brian Kilmeade intensely, Bush revealed that the comments by Reid—where he infamously stated that the Iraq war was lost and the Surge wouldn’t accomplish anything—irritated him a tremendous amount. He also chastised Reid for not voicing a mere disagreement with his Iraq war policy, but being extremely irresponsible, to say the least, in his position as "a leader" at the time. Bush’s feelings about Reid are significant because Reid is one of the only people that the president actually singles out for criticism in his new book.

“Makes you really want to stay away from Las Vegas.”

I would pity Nevadans except I’m from Ct. We’re even more pathetic losers here.

Well, there isn’t much reason to go to highly corrupt Las Vegas or Atlantic City anymore since all the casinos and riverboats are popping up across the heartland. They can rot as far as I am concerned.

"Progressives" like to paint themselves as the "new, fresh thinking" that needs to be "given a try" or "given a hearing" to see if it works better than our "old, failed system of capitalistic conservatism." It's a very old, very tired, badly failed ploy.

"Progressives" (aka "Socialists" or "Communists") have had their "hearing," their "day in the sun" for trial and inspection by the people, and are evangelizing a social system much older than capitalistic conservatism.

In every country where the "Progressive" system has been tried, not only has it ended up collapsed with the blood of millions of its vitims on its hands, but the one time that true capitalistic conservatism was tried, it resulted in the one country on Earth that people from every other country would be willing to die trying to get to.

The only time America has run into trouble has been when voters were too badly educated (yet another Progressive "benefit") to keep themselves from electing and empowering large numbers of Progressives within our Government.

When will we learn?

"George W. Bush says Harry Reid badly irritated him due to his anti-war statement about Iraq."

George W. Bush badly irritated me after he stated he would sign a bill banning semi-automatic rifles.

Shame on Nevada voters who ignored this treasonous surrender statement by Reid while soldiers were dying in Iraq. They are beneath contempt for voting to send this Benedict Arnold back to lead the Senate of the United States of America.

George W. Bush says Harry Reid badly irritated him due to his anti-war statement.

If that's all Harry Reid irritated him about then he has a much thicker skin than I have.
