I can’t imagine why someone would fly on a plane.

If I can’t drive there, I won’t go...

I have flown once since 9/11, and it was already ridiculous then. Now, no, I won't fly.

What we really need is a period when all of America just stays on the ground in protest--until the Airlines raise hell with the Government over this crap.

We can all howl all we want, but until someone bleeds (even at the wallet), it won't make much difference unless the Obamedia break ranks and raise hell, too.

So you haven't been to Hawaii?

BTW, I traveled to Hawaii at age 4 without a plane. A Navy ship was used to move dependents to Hawaii from a ship departing from San Francisco. The trip to San Francisco was a mix of train from San Diego to San Francisco, then bus to the pier for departure. My 5th birthday occurred on the ship. The return trip to San Diego was on a Boeing 707 when I was 6. The terminal in San Diego was still on the east side of the field then.

I've adopted the same policy. I'm driving. Piss on the TSA.

Family on the other side of the country... Travel requirements for work... The list goes on and on.

Due to my medical problems, I've been temporarily excused from traveling to our "hot site" for maintenance on the servers and network devices there (these are day trips from KC to Dallas, usually with practically no notice, so driving the 9 hours each way just isn't an option), and I've got family who's about 22 hours away by car. It's been a year now since I've seen them, and it may be at least another year until I get to see them again.

This is a hot topic in our house as Mr G needs to fly to do a job in January. This is usually a very slow time of year for us, so this job is important. His choice is to fly, and have his dignity and rights assaulted, or drive and lose 2 further weeks of work, and negate the income he earns for the single job.

If we could go with him we would take our son out of school and make a road trip of it. Unfortunately, we can’t afford that.

I hate these people with a white hot unquenchable hate.

I stopped flying two years ago, and I am relatively young and love to travel. To me, it was just to damn insulting watching Muslims go through without being checked. Then looking at me like I'm a problem.

The Airlines can go to hell.

TSA can go to hell.

Our Federal Government can go to hell.

Agree — been boycotting flying for nearly three years now — now the agony has tripled — thanks but no thanks — if I can’t drive, I’m not going either!

Amen. Been that way since 9-11. It was smoke and mirrors then, and has gotten worse, which we all knew, those of us who knew. If they don’t get rid of PC, and if they don’t start Israeli type security, TSA and your government are going to kill the airlines.

Of course if TSA succeeds, they will grope themselves right out of a job. Don’t see that happening, so their is hope and change to look forward to.
