I often ask myself the question: What would it take for America to finally awaken to the scope and depth of the threat that jihad presents us and begin to fight this war like we mean to win it?

She has said it and written it a whole lot of times. Included in Malkin’s post is a link to a 2005 story where, you may or may not remember, the City Of Portland pulled its law enforcement officers out of the federal terrorism task force and refused to cooperate with interviews of members of the local Muslim community.
Now we have a naturalized Son of Oregon, and former student at the publicly funded university in Corvallis to boot, who decided to become a Soldier of Allah and bring death en-masse to the city that protected its Muslim population from some appropriate scrutiny – and while they were at it, blindly ignored Islam’s doctrine and history.
How ironic, and utterly stupid, that the City Fathers of Portland were so ignorant of what has been repeatedly and relentlessly thrown directly into our faces since 9/11. Now they, as well as other Sanctuary City governments, can either awaken to what we are really up against – or continue the blindfolded charade of pretending that Islam has nothing to do with violence or acts of mass terrorism.
Any bets here? Think the President is going to help us along in opening our eyes? Think the Dept. of Homeland Security is going to step up to the plate and demand a halt to Muslim immigration into the United States? State Department? Repubs in the 2011 House of Representatives?
That the suicidal insanity has persisted this long after 2001 is much more than disturbing. It makes one wonder how much longer can a civilization that refuses to face reality continue to exist?
Look at all those Amish.
They will still refuse to believe it.. until there is blood in the streets..
Meanwhile, the TSA is groping 5-year olds, 3-year olds, cancer survivors, flight attendants, Nuns, priests, 80-year old grandmothers and grandfathers.

Wonder what the city fathers of Portland would have had to say for themselves if some Muzlim nut job had actually managed to explode a huge bomb and kill hundreds or thousands of people.
Portland, OR, calls itself “The City of Roses.” If the libs that live there don’t shape up and smell ‘em they’ll be using them to decorate a lot of caskets.

I have lived in Portland for nine years and I must conclude it has to be the rampant drug abuse that has killed brain cells in all the liberals that live and govern in downtown Portland. If you read some of the blogs today the ‘enlightened’ libs are blaming everyone but the ‘Jihad Johnny’ that wanted to kill several hundred people. Really, it will truly drive you mad.
Even with blood in the streets they look to blame anyone other than the perpetrators of murder.
