Me, a Glock .45 (talking headshots here) and Remington 875 with double alt buck would be my practical choices. I saw the thing down to 15 inches.
Head shots are harder than people thing and 00 coming from a short barrel would work well. An 875 is not fancy, not semi-auto, but very robust.
Lots of rounds available for the 12g and the pistol.
Big diesel sleeper. I’d hunt out a cat tracker and some place like a school or police station that has basic fencing and dig a big ass trench outside the fence.
