The good news I see here is the Dems running a lot of “clock time” on these wasted attempts instead of trying to sneak thru stuff like cap n tax and card check.
The libs are truly mad to think that an extra 10% or even 20% tax on 315,000 people can magically solve the financial woes of the government, or support 50 million people on government assistance. Pelosi is doing everything she can to avoid passing a budget this year, and, in January, will be the first to howl that we have no budget. In the meantime, keep an eye on the home mortgage deduction.

The mainstream media is sympathetic to Democrats but they are not the Democrats. If they were then Rush would have NOT all those lines he has that start with “Even the mainstream media is turning/not buying...”. Sunday David Gregory put John Kerry on the spot saying that economists all say now is not the time to raise taxes. Clearly the political winds have convinced the MSM that giving Democrats a hard time (some of the time) is a winner for them.
Yes, I appreciate what Senate Republicans at doing and don't see anyone blaming them(how could they, they been complely out of power). But as Republicans gain power they will make more and more compromises, and the MSM will get tougher on them.
You seem very confident of Republicans. What are they giving up in these talks with Obama? More deficits with unemployment compensation? Dream act? DADT? Start Treaty? Let's face it. Obama does not want any taxes to go up right now (without Republican cover) regardless of what he is saying to please his base. He wants to get re-elected and a tax increase blamed on him would kill his chances.

The mainstream media are liars, deceivers, propagandists, democrats/marxists . They are not reporters. The media have been going on about this hoax called global warming for 2 decades.And now we have data that there has been no warming for 15 yeas and the Earth is actually cooling now. They are not out there to report facts but to advance an agenda ,Socialism . And they will lie, do anything to advance that agenda if that means to fake some criticism of one of their own democrats or to push a democrat a certain way that the media think they should go then they'll do it. That doesn't mean that they aren't on the same team as democrat politicians.
Yet in the next paragraph you do blame Republicans and are bashing them. But many on this forum and elsewhere blame Republicans even more. And I say we should concentrate on destroying the democrat party and deporting illegals. If we don't deport illegals then soon there will never be another conservative elected anywhere in the U.S.

(OH-OH, not again) Sure they successfully opposed the Dream Act so far, but you have faith that the Amnesty party (Leadership Republicans from 2006-2007) will not try it again if in power? How about a party plank saying NO amnesty? Have they made an effective case against it?
I am just trying to make people understand that the threat is the democrats and their mainstream media. I am focusing on defeating democrats and that means focusing on what democrats are doing wrong and exposing that to Americans so that democrats get defeated. I want people to also realize that illegals havw to be deported. We can't do all these things. We have to focus on only 1 or 2 things. You all keep worrying about what this Republican is not doing or a million other things. just 2 things deport illegals and defeat democrats and only that. You all demand perfection are you? hell ho . most of you don't make the point i do do about laws being the problem and illegals being the problem not to you it's Republicans that are the problem.

Republicans stopped Amnesty for all their 12 years they controlled Congress.The only thing that stopped Amnesty was the vote of Republicans in Congress. Republicans had to overcome democrats in Congress and pro-Amnesty Presidents and media to do this. Now this is not good enough for any of you either. I haven't seen any one defend Republicans. This was just with a simple majority. Republicans have also stopped the Dream act with hardly any numbers at all in the Congress. All Republican Senators voted against government healthcare and against the Dream act. However this is not good enough for many of you . You all want perfection out of a group of politicians who are mainly lawyers. Well keep looking for a perfect party it will never come about especially in the liberal media created reality where illegals are growing and growing every single day.
You are speaking of hypothetical etc. . The only thing that counts is what votes they took in the Congress and what bills are passed, not what the media says Republicans are thinking or thinking of doing or will do etc.
And if you look at the votes the Republicans stopped Amnesty, stopped the Dream and stopped government healthcare for 12 years they had a simple majority. All Republican senators voted against government healthcare but couldn't stop it because democrats had a super majority. what more could they have done in these votes ? You all want more perfection . well we not only don't live in a perfect world the democrats put us 130 years behind, so we are in a deep hole and the worst part is that illegals keep growing so in a few years there will not be a single conservative nor Republican elected ever if illegals not stopped. then when when there are 2 Republicans out there then all of you can blame those 2 for everything.
It will take time for Republicans to earn trust again. And as the party grows larger it will be harder to control.
