The award is for results not intent, most of the victims were of one particular race, and is statistically accurate.
The DDT issue is comparable to global warming . Imposing new laws based on junk science not facts. There is nor there ever scientific evidence presented to show DDT was harmful. It was just PC to ban it.

More of their darned “unintended consequences” - AND there’s never a chance they’re EVER going to say they were wrong and repeal anything!! Outrageous. Their rescue of people has killed waaaaay more people than any results of the DDT would have. . but, they’re more “compassionate” than those “mean” conservatives don’t you know.

One of the factors that bothers me greatly about this tragedy is the fact that several African nations had the ability to manufacture DDT for themselves, but were coerced to not do so by threat of the withholding of US foreign aid for refusal to prevent their own citizens and industry from DDT manufacture.
American leftists could not stoop lower.
I was in Appalachia in the 50’s and early 60’s. DDT was considered a miracle cure for everything. It was celebrated by the religious community with the song, “Ain’t no flies on Jesus ‘cause He’s sprayed with DDT.” Children were dosed a spoonfull of DDT to combat intestinal worms.
The owner of the plant that made DDT ate a spoonfull every day as proof of its safety. He lived a long but bitter life after his cure was banned for political reasons.
Tens of millions of children have died in Africa because of the global ban on this cure. And why was this done? To prove the power of the environmental movement. They seek the eradication of unworthy humans like babies of poor, black families through abortion and the death by refusal to protect tens of millions of blacks in Africa.
This is the most diabolical age in the history of mankind. Racist policies are enforced by law through the efforts of enviro fascists. They are genuinely evil, deserving of the extermination they have wreaked upon our people.
I did want everyone to know that the numbers are correct, that is why I did not mention Mao or Joe Stalin, they beat Rachel.
Finally, let me give you kudos on the thread, this is something we should keep in mind so history doesn't have to repeat itself.
It was not ever necessary to completely ban DDT, worldwide, to prevent or greatly limit the thinning of raptor egg shells. Selective DDT spraying in limited locations for mosquito control could have prevented huge numbers of deaths by malaria. But environmental wacko absolutists are not able to behave rationally.
Sanger, eugenics, and Planned Parenthood are proved racist enterprises targeting people of color.
Environmentalists=communists are criminally anti human and there is a preponderance of evidence that people of color are the majority of, and NOT coincidental, victims.

The problems with DDT came from its misuse. Properly applied, it poses no threat to wildlife. When used correctly, it creates a mosquito-free area wherein mosquitoes are no longer biting malaria-infected humans. By the time healthy mosquitoes migrate back into the affected area, the human population no longer has malaria and cannot infect the mosquitoes. This also means that the spraying, which is only for a limited duration, takes place in populated areas; not out among the eagles.
But of course, liberals care for neither facts nor children; especially dark-skinned children.

The U.S.stopped production of DDT because of the book “Silent Spring” by Rachel Carlson which posited that millions of birds were dying because of the widespread use.
No one has ever written a comparably publicized book on how millions of humans are dying because there is nothing to replace it to kill off malaria carrying mosquitoes.
Why doesn’t some third-world country put it back into production to save its citiznes?
