In his quest to become "anonymous and insignificant" former Gov. Bill Richardson today got himself appointed to be a "goodwill ambassador" for the Organization of American States.

Secretary General (José Miguel) Insulza asked former Governor Richardson to assume once again the charge of Special Envoy for Hemispheric Affairs, a position he held from 2006 to 2007. The meeting gave the North American politician an opportunity to share with the head of the hemispheric Organization his gratitude for the trust placed on his experience, which will allow him once again to confront the challenges of regional migration as OAS Special Envoy.

The Secretary General asserted that “in the next few weeks we will decide on the missions to be fulfilled by the Governor.” ...

Bill Richardson belongs in prison on corruption charges, along with (former?) AG Patricia Madrid. Both tried to cover for crooked State Treasurer Robert Vigil, who was eventually convicted on federal corruption charges.

In other words, Richardson is so radioactive that Commandante Zer0 is sending him permanently out of the country?

I thought some movie production firm hired him for a $1,000,000 a year. It was reported with great fan fare about 6 months ago.

I guess that fell through. Maybe they were afraid that he would embezzle them into bankruptcy.

I hope he moves to Cuba and lives with Castro and crew.

Bill Richardson is one of the pro-abortion people chosen by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their National Review Board for the Protection of Children and Young People.

That’s right: The bishops had no problem appointing baby-murderers to a board for the “protection of children.”

Which is one of many reasons so many Catholics view the bishops (as a group) as enemies of both the Church and the United States.

The federal grand jury had been in a legal battle with the Richardson administration over documents necessary for the current corruption investigation (pay-to-play and securities fraud). Richardson claimed "executive privilege." But as a former prosecutor, one of Susana's first acts was to tell the feds they could have anything they want related to Bill's and the former administration's involvement.
