They should have removed Clinton from office. As it is, Clinton is still a thorn in the side of conservatives, the “elder statesman” who still is catered to like a prince, and his ENABLER WIFE is handed everything she wants. The House held the line; but no thanks to the Senate which just would not do the right thing about Clinton. The American people? They would have by now RESPECT the Congress for doing the right thing about Clinton. His actions overall were ludicrous. Shoe on the other foot? Nixon was hounded to his grave enthusiastically by the Democrats, with no respect and driven into the depths of shame that would have only been a slap on the wrist of a Democrat. A young woman’s name is a byword in shame and degradation because of Clinton’s lecherousness; and she will never be able to live it down without the intervention of God and of Christ.
Anyone want to bet DeLay wont spend one day in prison? This case will be appealed. The jury was from the most leftwing county in Texas.
You know, someone once said timing is everything. So here we are in the middle of another Marxist demonization (Palin, Tea Party, conservative talk show hosts and conservatives in general) and this lawyer comes out and blames the Tea Party for DeLay’s conviction.
Someone also said that appearance can be everything. This whining claim by DeLay’s lawyer has the appearance of being part of the greater demrat demonization effort.
In any case, your concern does not address the crux of my post. To wit: DeLay got very close or crossed a legal line. Demrats used it against him and he got burned. A real man would take the hit, learn from it and never go down that road again. Ya see, it’s the whining part that is so appalling to me. DeLay played with fire and got burned. Case closed.
DeLay is part of the GOP crowd that created the opening for the Usurping Marxist Onada to occupy the WH. Hopefully, he will find something meaningful to do with his life in and out of jail.
Yes, voir dire is part of the process. The problem is that it’s difficult to find a non-liberal juror in Travis county, TX.
He didn't do that at all. He blamed libs on the jury involved in a backlash against the Tea Party.
