I agree. If anything, the lawyer is blaming the liberal jury for letting their irritation at the Tea Party movement unfairly influence their decision against Tom DeLay.
That’s what I took from it too. The liberal jury took their anger out on Delay.

I thought he was charged by a Dem prosecutor, tried in a Dem stronghold and sentenced by a Dem judge. They were looking to smack DeLay no matter who said what and when. But I DO believe that you’re right.
Sorry, I disagree. It’s not like the liberal jury needed any Tea Party activity to stir up their hatred - it’s in their nature. I think it was unnecessary to bring the Tea Party into it.
