I don't normally comment on trivial television programs because I do not watch them. However...

Didn’t he give himself a heart attack watching his own acting or something like that?
No one forces you or anyone else to watch his show I watch it because its funny ass hell. I cant say I have ever remember any commercials or what products are sponsors I ff past them
ROTF!!! That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day!
What does this have to do with Martin, this is about Charlie.
Emilio Estevez seemed to turn out ok.
Shouldn’t the title be Charlie Sheen; not Martin Sheen, Charlie’s Dad?
Do I really have to explain what the son of Martin Sheen has to do with Martin Sheen in a post titled “The Legacy of Martin Sheen”? Never mind.
Blaming the father is not what I call taking personal responsibility.
Martin Sheen actually is a devout Catholic who regularly goes to Mass. Sure he may be closer to one of those ‘liberation theology’ Catholics, but he’s not the one to blame for how Charlie turned out.
“No one forces you or anyone else to watch his show I watch it because its funny ass hell.”
You are absolutely right. Nobody forces me to watch the show thank God - and I don’t watch the show - nor have I ever seen an episode.
Unfortunately, I DO watch football with my 7 year old son on CBS and we have been treated to the promos of this lewd piece of crap. I try to get to the remote as fast as I can to mute it but sometimes I have failed.
It is a shame that the NFL allows this. I see how our culture has devolved when I get a sample of what is now “mainstream” or deemed “funny as hell”.
It really explains a great deal about the state of our nation.
I believe parents as a whole have responsibility for howe their children turn out. There are EXCEPTIONS but this one probably isn’t one.
A generation of moral reprobates don’t just happen. Look at the divorce in this country and now look at the youth of today.
I have been to every tea party in Palm Beach County and sorry but I saw a sea of white hair. I asked myself the question, where are your CHILDREN and grand children? On the videos of Glen Beck’s national rally, I saw a sea of white hair. There are EXCEPTONS to that as well but in general, we have problems.
If I checked the divorce rate at those tea parties I wouldn’t be surprised to see that it is just as high as that of the nation in general - too high.
The point is that regardless of our politiccal party and even in the church, we as a nation have failed miserably and we have an offspring of indoctrinated ingrates, the majority of whom gave us this imposter of a President.
That is our legacy. Charlie Sheen is Martin’s legacy and I’ll bet his home life wasn’t so grand. We are culpable to some degree.
You’re right. There’s nothing funny about this filth.
No need to worry, though. Sooner or later he’ll end up like Anna Nicole.
My wife and I have nine siblings, and they in turn have many children.
Mostly California, but also Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Texas.
When we visit, I try to get a sense of how the younger ones are turning out, value wise.
Mostly conservative; more so as they grow older.
Western strain of conservatism (leaning libertarian) which coincides with the Reagan-Goldwater legacy. Milton Friedman, if you need a political philosopher of the current/recent era.
Little to no Bible thumping.
You mean the anti-war hypocrit that made millions off of war movies?
Yes. That’s the one CIDkauf! LOL.
No, nobody forces me to watch this show. That’s why I wouldn’t ever consider spending any of my time watching such tripe.
However, I AM forced daily to deal with the unfortunate, unavoidable and crass circumstances created by people who do and think such garbage is “funny ass hell.”
He's not?
Much as I disagree with Martin Sheen on everything political, I do not think you can pin the actions of his son on him. His kid is a middle age man responsible for himself. If it was a sixteen year old trashing a hotel room in NYC than yes, but he is not responsible for a 40 year old man.
I agree but the show needs a proper warning label. Charlie Sheen should come out at the beginning and tell the youts it's his life and nobody else should try it at home.
Sorta like the myth-busters never ever try this at home we are what you call professionals
"I am on a drug, it's called Charlie Sheen, don't try it you'll just blow up, you can't handle this, but I love it, . . . violently."
