Krugman's Failed Logic

Paul Krugman, who I continue to hold is the dumbest Nobel Laureate ever, continues his failed attempts at convincing anyone who is sane that he has a clue what is going on.

Today, it is back to Obamacare.

Krugman, in a piece artfully titled 'The War on Logic', attempts to dissect Republican arguments for repealing Obamacare. I personally think the Op-Ed is appropriately titled...only the attack on logic is actually held within the editorial itself.

Isn’t it time for Krugman to put his lipstick and dress on and hit the town fantastic?

In his capacity as a NYTimes op-ed writer, Krugman is just serving as a paid propagandist. His NYTimes articles are not serious efforts at economic analysis.

"Paul Krugman, who I continue to hold is the dumbest Nobel Laureate ever..."

The “dumbest Nobel prize winner ever” is a tough call, what with the likes of Al Gore and Jimmy Carter and Barack 0bama among the semifinalists.

Throw Yasser Arafat in the mix and you really have a fine cast of characters.

The case of Krugman is interesting though. I think one could make the case that Krugman, since he won his Nobel prize, has undergone the biggest reputational delta since having rec’d the award.

Gore, Arafat, and Carter were well understood to be flaming idiots before receiving the award.

0bama was the first ever to receive the award on a negative amortization NINJA loan.

Krugman had a modicum of respect among some (not me) before receiving the award. Since then he has hewn to a warped ideological perspective anyone with a staff position at the NYTimes should be expected to have. But he really took himself down several notches with his early take on the Arizona shooting. And I will tell you, he has done so with the left, as well. I am ordinarily pessimistic as to the left’s cumulative memory with regard to these egregious excursions into junior high school journalism. They just let this stuff go and move on to the next outrage. But my prediction is, the effects of this Arizona shark-jumping exercise will stick to him. I sincerely believe he has done permanent damage to his already shrinking credibility.

The ‘dumbest ever’ came from a piece I wrote about a year ago. I specifically excluded those that have won the Nobel Prize for Peace...because that award is simply a joke.

The difference is, the other Nobel Prizes actually still are supposed to mean something. Krugman just shows that that is no longer the case. They are all popularity awards, along with the Peace award.

his prize was for something unrelated to health care. but he’s an expert on everything including climate change...just trust him. he’d never lie. ;)
