Hi, Beckwith - playing catch-up here, reading through earlier threads.

I really believe you’ve caught the gold ring with this summation. It very smartly puts the ducks in a row on this aspect of the overall con.

It also provides the answer to an “anomaly” on the COLB. It has to be considered in the context of time and place, ie, the normal social traditions of Madelyn’s and Stan’s era - which slip right on by the notice of most people today.

People refer to Barry as Barack Obama, Junior. The COLB, however, designates him as Barack Hussein Obama II. There is a world of difference between the two: A boy given the same name as his father is designated “junior”. A boy given the same name as someone OTHER than his father is designated “II”. “Junior” tells the world, “This is my son”. A boy given the same name as an uncle is “II”, and says to the world, this boy is named for someone we admire. The common explanation would be that the “junior” is named AFTER the father; “II” is named “FOR” someone else.

To my eyes, the designation of Barry as “II” on the COLB is a flat-out statement that Obama of Kenya is not Barry’s father; that he entered into a business arrangement as a cash-on-the-line favor to his drinking buddy Stanley Armour Dunham. Obama of Kenya was also a Communist, so very likely to have been included in Stan’s and [also a Negro] Davis’ exploitatious drunken gatherings.

Stanley Ann had to produce a divorce decree to satisfy the INS/Univ. Hawaii/State Dept. that her marriage to Lolo Soetoro was legal. Lolo was trying to avoid being deported back to Indonesia after he overstayed his visa. It was during that bickering with authorities that he suddenly informed those officials that he and Stanley Ann had married - in March of 1965.

Those docs are at scribd - were part of a FOIA release a few months ago. I’ve not fine-tooth-combed them yet, but cursory examination pretty strongly hints that Stanley married him as a favor to strengthen his case for staying here. He was pretty unhappy at the prospect of having to return to Indonesia and its’ political strife.

The docs have notations that authorities were STILL waiting for Mrs. Soetoro to produce proof of her first marriage’s divorce; getting her to produce it seems to have been like pulling hen’s teeth. Also, many of the docs are memos about Mr.&/or Mrs. Soetoro being no-shows for appointments.

It entails a lot of reading of poor quality copies, so will take some doing to write up an outline of the salient portions.
