During the State of the Union address, the President called for Americans to have 80% of all electrical power being generated from Renewable sources by 2035. Despite being a physical impossibility to actually do this, the cost is astronomical, $6 Trillion. Renewables, at best might be able to supply power for 6 to 8 hours a day, and, right now, if 65% of all electrical power in the U.S. is required 24/7/365, then this 'Sputnik Moment' for the President becomes not just a dream, but a nightmare of truly disastrous proportions. This dream of his will have us all back in the dark ages, literally.
WTF is it with our “President”, and ALL the Soviet references? Sputnik, Czars, etc. His true Pink color seems to be showing through. It seems in his mind EVERY thing would be OK if we would just change to Russia.
Actually a lot of things would be okay if we would just change to Russia: low flat income tax, serious Christian religious education in state schools, vigorous response to terrorists, a serious human intelligence capability, serious covert op capacity, being a net exporter of energy, . . .
And under Obama, our crony capitalism isn’t that much worse than what Russia has. And they’ve even got the honesty to call their analogs of Goldman Sachs, GM and GE honchos “oligarchs”.
Unfortunately, Obama seems to think a lot of things would be okay if we would just change to the USSR. If he succeeded, a fair number of states should have to do what Russia did back in ‘92 and bring the Union down by seceding.
I thought he said something about “Sputter...something or other”.
Agreed. Little did they know that hiding that fact would come back to bite them later in the BC controversy. What his red diaper mother and Communists grand parents really did was farm young Barak out to the openly homosexual Davis for his pleasure and Obama's early education and indoctrination.
