WFAA: Woman who has lived in Irving since age 6 faces deportation

Olga Zanella , 20, grew up in Irving, attending school in Irving ISD as a child. But she hid a secret--she is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. According to WFAA, she found out she was in the country illegally during her junior year of high school, after attending a college financial aid workshop.

She now faces deportation Monday because her status was discovered by Irving police during a traffic stop.

Her story reflects the story of many children who are now growing up in the city, and could face similar fates.

"I feel fear," she told WFAA. "It's going to be hard for me to adapt. It's a different atmosphere."

Klingonish, guilty

In an earlier very serious post, I remarked that her looks would not factor into my evaluation of her situation. I stand by that -- DEPORT HER.

That being said, not only do I find her unattractive but the picture of this criminal only reinforces my opinion. She has a brazen sneer on her face which, if eyes are a window to the soul, reveals her to be a lawbreaker and one who's proud of gaming the system.

No, I am not nuts, I am quite aware, probably more so than you, I am in the insurance business and deal with these things on a regular basis and have done so for 30 years, and I am well aware from personal experience the trauma that is created by accidents that do not have coverage in force.

Did you have insurance on your car? If you did there should have been no horror.

Empathize but do not sympathize.

I grew up in Texas and also have been around illegals.

They are NOT the same as they were back in the 70’s.

They are violent, and if not violent themselves, they hire violent men to help them sneak across the border. And many times when intercepted by the Border Patrol they fight. . .injuring the Agents. . .and if they don't fight, they let the others fight for them, aiming to injure, maim or murder the Agent. So, is it just peachy for you that they escape to live the life of plenty here in the US, leaving an Agent's blood in the sand. . .after all, the daughter can now be raised here in the US.

If ops-sec would allow, I would post a picture of my son (a Border Patrol Agent) and this picture would show how he looked after an attack from those “poor suffering” illegals, just making their way north with their wife and children.

Rubbish.

If not for his training my son would have been seriously injured, if not killed. . .by “poor innocent” illegals just trying to make a better life for themselves.

Yeah, their country sucks. They should deal with it, change it, make it better, instead they march north into our country and are now trying to force us to become the cesspool of a nation they just left.

Years ago they ran under the radar, making what they could, keeping out of trouble. Not any more. They are brazen in their illegality and contemptuous of our laws, customs and border.

Deport them all. It is the fault of the parents, and the fact that the parent are hiding to avoid deportation alongside their daughter, THAT speaks volumes about the agenda at play here. . .if not volumes about their cold-heart and selfish motives.

Yes I did and still do have full insurance on my cars. The horror came also from being blindsided by this Mexican fool who couldn't speak a word of English when the police arrived to investigate the "accident". It wasn't an accident since the drunken (or stoned) fool was 100% negligent.

There were complications on down the line with my insurance company (based out of state) even with the uninsured motorist coverage I carry.

In contrast, I was struck from behind a few years later on an interstate by a clean-cut, very respectful young man ("yes sir" and "no sir") from Lubbock. While an accident is never enjoyable, this one was a downright pleasure in comparison. He spoke English just fine and was fully insured. There were no complications whatsoever with my insurance company since everything was handled by his insurer.

BRAVO!

Extremely well said and 100% accurate in all respects!

She and her family are here ILLEGALLY! Round up the whole family and ship them back to their country of origin. If she wants to be angry, let her be angry at her criminal parents for breaking US immigration law. She should not direct her anger towards the country she has stolen from over the last 14 years by way of education dollars and other social services that should have gone to LEGITIMATE US citizens. Hasta la vista, baby.

I wonder if there are any Americans like that or if just all Mexicans are like the one you described.

Since I'm fairly old, I've had a number of accidents.

And several decades ago, I had one where I was entirely at fault though my own negligence. I certainly wasn't drunk or high -- but was sleep deprived and I should not have been driving under those conditions during a long road trip in Wisconsin while on vacation. I think that the victim of my carelessness, while certainly unhappy was the circumstances, was ameliorated by my demeanor. After the accident investigation was complete, his wife smiled and wished me a good time on the rest of my vacation. In fact she was almost apologetic that I had rear-ended their family car! It was almost like something out of the movie, "Fargo" and the cheery Chief Marge Gunderson. After the wreck, her husband and I chatted about camping sites in that part of Wisconsin and he recommended a few to me.

Other accidents where the other party was at fault, while not necessary pleasant, at least were tolerable. The one with the Mexican stands out because it was intolerable.

in which she has done nothing wrong.
She must pay for the sins of her parents.
_____________________________________________

Actually when she turned 18 2 years ago she became an adult responsible for her own actions, her owen crimes...

she has done something wrong ever since then...

she has been illegally on her own decision, illegally in this country...

something she had already known about before she was caught it turns out...

So she participated with her parents in breaking the immigration laws of the US...

Maybe she can bring her whole family and live in your house...

Doesn’t seem to have a lot of respect for the laws of the land she grew up in. If she’s not interested in respecting our laws, why should we bend them to let her stay here?

A good place to pop this...

The American’s Creed

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

William Tyler Page (1868-1942)

From Wikipedia...

In 1917 at age 49, Page wrote the American’s Creed as a submission to a nationwide patriotic contest, the goal of which was to have a concise but complete statement of American political faith. Drawing on a wide variety of historical documents and speeches, including the Declaration of Independence, the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and others, he crafted a simple yet profoundly moving expression of American patriotism.

His submission was chosen above more than 3000 others. On April 3, 1918 it was accepted by the U.S. House of Representatives, on behalf of the American people. Today it also often comprises part of the Naturalization Ceremony for new Americans.

Now Jolla ask yourself...

“Did this woman fulfill the ideals of this Creed for those who love and respect and believe in America ???”

She has lived here since she was a child and you feel it would be a reasonable thing for her to go turn her self in and ask for a once way ticket to Mexico a country she has never been to since she was a baby. Do you feel that is the reasonable and right thing for her to do? Let me ask this then, if and you are not, but if you were in her shoes is that what you would do? I know you are not, but just let me know.

She needs to go, now. She can apply for resident status.

When she goes it will show the resolve of this country to police the borders.

Tenn,
Then I ask you do you feel in this situation:

“humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes”

Because I gather from this thread, most here do not, they feel only humanity towards their own not towards others.

Maybe you need to know that I am a REAL immigrant...

I jumped through ALL the hoops to come here...

and yes...

If she had been brought up in a Meth House, would you think it OK for her to stay there and help make Meth after she was old enough to be accountable ???

and not be arrested at age 20 along with her parents ???
