Its going downhill from what I see on the news, looks like the military is going to start getting more firm against rock throwing protesters.

First, restore order, and arrange a peaceful transfer of power. Good strategy if he can pull it off.

Mubarak may have the support of the Egyptian military.

Even so, that does not mean that Mubarak should renege on his promise to reform the government and address the grievances of the Egyptian people.

He must do that and he must do it as soon as possible, before he leaves office, immediately.

Listening to Greg Palcot and Judith Miller on Fox claiming this new violence is Mubarak’s responsibility.

MB wants violence, it plays well for their scheme.

CNN is even worse.

Zero will probably now make another speech.

Supporters Invade Tahrir Square, Tanks Not Far Behind

Technically there was an M1A2 and a couple of M113s parked in the middle of the square before it all started. But the crowd is just crawling up on them like a kids playhouse. I don't think the army is going to get into this unless they threaten the Museum. They are there to protect Pharaoh Ramses not President Mubarak

Mubarak has his flaws - corrupt as hell but then, find an Egyptian in uniform who is not

He has been an ally by quietly supporting the West's permanent interests for decades (interests which btw benefit the entire world)

“We” could have encouraged a peaceful transition and also supported a dignified exit, and worked it to everyone’s advantage

Barry's arrogant comments last night were totally cocked.
This is the putz who bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia? IS the King of Saudi some great defender of human rights?

And what about Barry's pen-pal Ahmadinejad? Last year somehow I missed Barry's stirring statement of support for the aspirations of the Iranian people, especially the youth, for human rights and freedom.

wtf.

Boo-hoo....little pansy Anderson Cooper is crying on CNN that the military didn’t come rescue him when the pro-Mubarak guys hit him in the head.

CNN was tickled pink for the past week that the military wasn’t doing anything, but now the military is supposed to save the Leftist media and the “students” (aka Muslim Brotherhood) from what are probably ex-military personnel who have had enough of the chaos in their country.

AMB. JOHN BOLTON
Fox News ^ | 28 January 2011 | John Bolton (Interview)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2664992/posts
“...I think after the Friday prayers the Brotherhood brought its people out. That’s why the protests are even more extensive today. That constitutes no doubt about it a direct threat to the military government, and I think the failure of the other security forces to bring the demonstrations under control also now explains the presence of the military.

Let me be clear here, this is not just the Mubarak-family government. The military has ruled Egypt since Gamal Nasser and they over through King Farook.
It’s the military that is the real government and they are not going to go peacefully.
I think the question is whether and to what extent the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Islamists have infiltrated the leadership.

If the military holds firm it’s entirely possible, although bloody, that the government can hold onto power. That doesn’t necessarily mean Mubarak will be in power, but the military will be, and I think that is why this contrast makes it so important for people to understand, this is not a choice between the Mubarak government on one hand, and sweetness and light, Jeffersonian democracy on the other.

Having pledged not to run for re-election this fall, Hosni Mubarak is drawing a line... and although Iranian shill Mohamed ElBaradei says that won’t cut it, the Egyptian president seems intent to retire on his terms-
......................................................
Iranian Shill ,Barrack Obama, has also thrown Mubarak under the bus.

Can’t see the news, but I guess it’s not exactly the “Berlin Wall Moment” many in the press tended to believe.
