Reverend Al Sharpton returned to MSNBC's The Ed Show to continue his jihad against conservative free speech on Monday.
Although the primary target of Sharpton's attack was Rush Limbaugh, the real target is anyone he disagrees with, which usually means conservatives.
According to Lachlan Markay of Newsbusters, the reason (this time) was Rush Limbaugh's satirical piece mocking Chinese president Hu Jintao.
Schultz asked Sharpton how the FCC could govern what talk show hosts might say in those situations.
Would there be a review board? Would it go because obviously once the license is given out, they still put talkers on the air. What if they continue to act like that and who would be the judge on whats over the line, he asked.
According to the Daily Caller, Sharpton responded by saying the FCC could hold public hearings.
There could be a review board. There could be a commission. Just as they do when they enforce you cant use profanity and other things on the air. There are already standards they have even after they give licenses. This would only include in the existing list of things they set as standards in the first place, particularly given a climate like this.
Currently, the FCC regulates profanity and nudity over public airwaves, but Sharpton wants the government to police actual speech that some might find "racist".
Imagine, talk show hosts being required to appear before a public board every time they want to say something. Welcome to the U.S. according to Al Sharpton. After all, in Sharpton's worldview, it's arrogant to let people say what they want.

If stations can’t air profanity that pretty much shuts down RAP and HIP HOP music stations, don’t it brother Al?
Somebody please deport him.
Al Sharpton is such a riot.
He is both stupid and an idiot
but worse are these network shows that keep featuring him as some kind of credible commentator
Why do they even give him a mike?
I'll bet the answer is no.
He’s both and more
We’re big on free speech here at FreeRepublic.
So much so that we won’t mind a bit if you post your entire article so that the members here won’t have to visit The Examiner blog to read it.
(Why not? You only left out three or four sentences.)
Not stupid, cunning like a fox!
And he's a blowhard. A tax-cheating, race-baiting blowhard.
In a NORMAL world, Al Sharpton would have been discredited a long time ago for pulling the Tawana Brawley hoax.
In case you’re younger than 45, Google Tawana Brawley
Sharpton, like Obama, would love to see free speech regulated just like it was in East Germany.
