Jesse Jackson got early Secret Service protection when he ran for President. Obama asked for and got early Secret Service protection in the last election. They should do the same for Sarah Palin. Do I think there is a great risk to her life? Yes I do. I used to worry about it a little. But now I worry about it a lot. Top people in the Democratic Party and the media were quick to call Palin a racist during the last election. And that planted the seeds of hate into the minds of a lot of people. Then again after the shooting in Tucson, they said Palin was responsible. And the threats to Palin went though the roof. Sarah Palin had to increase protection for her and her family. The people who tried to blame Sarah Palin for the shootings in Tucson were idiots. Some of them were idiots. I think some were intentionally trying to provoke violence against Sarah Palin.

Dude.
You need a hobby. One which doesn’t involve whining about Sarah Palin.
I don’t know if he hired private security. I do know that he was an announced candidate for the Presidency of the United States and a sitting United States Senator. Hillary Clinton, as the spouse of a former President, was already under the watchful eye of the Secret Service. If Palin were to announce she were a candidate, she would be provided the same protection.
You know that how? Think about who is leading the executive branch at this moment:
** Obama: They Bring a Knife
We Bring a Gun!
** Obama to His Followers: Get in Their Faces!
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: I dont want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! Im angry!
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: Hit Back Twice As Hard!
** Obama on the private sector: We talk to these folks
so I know whose ass to kick.
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean hand to hand combat!
** Obama to lib supporters: Its time to Fight for it.
** Obama to Latino supporters: Punish our enemies.
** Obama to democrats: Im itching for a fight.
I’m not trying to prove any point you’ve made, and I don’t think I have in the past. Your a tad sensitive to be on a blog, aren’t you? You seem to need an inordinate level of affirmation.
My first thought exactly...
You’ve been here since 1999 and you think this is a blog? WTF?!
Sorry pissant, the headline is not true, no matter how much you wish it was.

Take a breath and think of something soothing, then go back a read who it is that determines which candidates get Secret Service protection. Is it the Executive Branch? No, it is a group led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Do you know who the Speaker of the House is? Come on - take a guess... Here’s what Palin and the Palinistas are going to need to do if she is EVER to be taken seriously as a leader: Grow a thicker skin! Political leadership ain’t for folks who are incapable of handling criticism or pathologically incapable of not responding to every perceived slight. If she decides to run, the gloves are coming off - I don’t think she can handle it.
She definitely needs protection from the paulbots and romneybots
Quibbler, huh? I can tell you’re former Army.
You should ask the moderators to change your title - ASAP.
“Report Abuse” and request it.
BRAINSTORM: WRITE A LAW THAT SS PROTECTION CAN ONLY BE PROVIDED TO PRESIDENTIAL /VICE PREZ CANDIDATES THAT PROVE THEY ARE NATURAL BORN CITIZENS!! (Without a Grandfather clause!)
Threat? From Whom? It’s the political reality. When the candidates throw their hats in the ring, they should expect their opponents to hit them where it hurts. That’s how it works. And like I said, I don’t think Palin has the temperament...
Which, if any, uniform did you wear, FRiend?
Are you some kind of plebe? She brings half that stuff on her self because it’s so easy to get a rise out of her - if she’d learn to shut her trap once in a while, 90% it would stop.
Maybe she learned the lesson of President Bush, who almost never fought back against attacks & smears and left office at about 20% favorability.
