From comments below the vidi;

More seriously though, stuff like this is why American automobile makers were all on the brink of disaster, and the financial crisis was just a straw on the camel's back, says the proud owner of a used Toyota that runs like it just left the factory.

I can concur, I have 2 old vehicles, my Toyota is older and holding up better with much less maintenance than the domestic.

My 19 year old “American” Geo is really a rebranded Japanese Suzuki Cultus. And it’s probably going to last me another 5 years.

The Toyota museum is half devoted to weaving and half devoted to automotive technology. Neat place if you like machinery.

Great news. The Lexus is the most popular car here in Houston.

They have come a long way considering my one and only Toyota Corona in the 70’s was put together with bubble gum and chicken wire. LOL

I love my Toyota! It’s 11 1/2 yrs old with over 500K miles on it and it still runs beautifully! Keep up the maintenance schedule the owner’s manual advises. You take care of your Toyota and it takes care of you.

Proudly car payment free since 2003.
