A San Diego Channel 10 interview, with Customs and Border PatrolAssistant Director Al Hallor is going viral after the San Diego officialsaid weapons of mass destruction have been discovered by federal agencies at US ports of entry. The Channel 10News investigative reporter Mitch Blacher asked, "Do you ever find things that are dangerous like a chemical agent or a weaponized device?" Hallor said, "at the airport, seaport, at our port of entry we havenot this past fiscal year, but our partner agencies have found thosethings." The interview played Monday on numerous major television news outlets and on dozens of web sites. But the agency is now stepping back from that comment. "During a local interview on port security that aired last week, aU.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) assistant port director in SanDiego made statements that were simply inaccurate,"Kelly Ivanhnenko,Southwest Border Field Branch Chief, said in an email to The Examiner."CBP has not encountered any weapons of mass effect at or between ports of entry anywhere in the United States. Furthermore, at this time, CBP does not have any credible information on terrorist groups operating along the Southwest border," it said. Hallor could not be reached for comment.
Who do you believe? The honest security guy who blurted out the truth, or the agency PR hack trying to lie about it.
I can’t believe that THEY believe they are fooling us anymore!
Very wordy for a false statement.
So the question now becomes, why would this high ranking CBP employee make such a verbal faux pas. Why even allow the conversation to be steered in such a direction or just generally just what the heck was he thinking...
Or was this a freudian slip, possibly an attempt to telegraph to reporters they need to start digging on this subject.
Or what is being covered up and why.
If this guy just blurted out this mess then we need to question how someone with just lack of mental discipline rose to the ranks of Assistant Port Director in San Diego... but then again we are talking about law enforcement here. Not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas Tree to begin with...
So which is it?
Nothing to see here, folks. Move along....
Over/Under on how soon Al Hallor is Vince Fosterized??
There’s too much heat to fire him over this but let him be one minute late to work or doesn’t dot an “i” on a report and he’ll be looking for a new job. I give him six months before he’s retaliated against.

“but then again we are talking about law enforcement here. Not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas Tree to begin with...”
I’ll wager a far cry ahead of what ever profession your in. What an asinine comment.
>Who do you believe? The honest security guy who blurted out the truth, or the agency PR hack trying to lie about it.<
Considering he was the assistant director of Customs and Border Patrol I would think I tend to believe him more than the administration in damage control.
exactly...we live in the theather of the absurd...Baghdad Bob has been cloned many times over...
After the next big fiasco we can expect Patriot Act II...
Trace Gallagher watched the entire report himself, to ensure nothing had been taken out of context after the official failed to respond to a local reporter asking him if any weapons of mass effect had been found in San Diego. The verdict? Trace says, without a doubt, nothing was taken out of context.
Now, other security officials are trying to quell a growing air of concern:

Like the “official” explanation of that missle launch off the coast of California a few months ago. It was “officially” a jet contrail although everyone knows better. Must be the weapons of mass effect were “officially” deemed something else and this guy went off message.
“but then again we are talking about law enforcement here. Not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas Tree to begin with.”
??? What do you mean by that?
I find it insulting that our government feels like we can’t handle the truth. Did it ever cross their minds that we would be better off knowing what’s really going on rather than letting our imaginations run wild?
